Up for sale is a very nice 1965 Cadillac Eldorado - GOLD ON GOLD convertible.
Driver quality restoration, ork in progress.
1 of 2125 made in 1965 this is a great rare car.
A lot of time, ffort and money went into this sweet Cadillac. Now it must go!
429 engine runs but needs a little more tuning, mokes a bit on start up. I have notdriven the car much at all over the last year.
Front and rear seats were professionally recovered several years ago and were on the list for replacement but I'm ready to move on. They look great and are very comfy. Power seats work in 5 of 6 ways.
Items that have been done:
-Brand new white convertible top professionally installed with an upgraded glass back window - Powerswitch stillworks the top both up and down - fluid added
-new carpet kit
-new shocks (4)-front floor pans replaced-newtrunk gasket-newwindshiled-new locks on door and trunk-rust removed and repaired-new paint (see below)-engine bay cleaned and detailed-original wood veneer was damaged upon arrival and replaced with vinyl.
Issues that I'm aware of:-Power windows work but the back drivers does not go up once down. Tried to troubleshoot this problem but justcouldn't figure it out.
-Needs "Eldorado emblems"
-Needs two pieces of chrome on drivers side- as seen in pictures - front wheel trim and rear lower fender moulding-rear tail lightsas missing the two piece trim thatattaches to the body (both sides) - not pictured.
-New paint - some imperfections hard to see in pics - nearly impossible to get a picture of this but the paint looks great, owever upon close inspection you can see (not feel) rings or circles, ostly on the horizontal surfaces.....hence the "driver" quality.
-as I haven't driven it much, ssume that it still needs care and maintenance.-radio does not work-heat and AC do not work.-original trunk kit was gone and replaced with carpet
Overall this is a great rare find. Good drivers quality car that can be enjoyed for years. Still could use some work to be even better. A great classic car towork on and own, ish I could keep it but I'm ready to move on.
Sad to see it go but it will make you happy to own it. It stillneeds some finishing touches and tinkering to be clear but a real head turner when done.
