Description for Cadillac Fleetwood 1939
This is a great parts car! The car has a good body just surface rust on the body panels. There are lots of small parts as well. Not to mention this is a dual fender spare tire model so those fenders are even harder to find! This 1939 Cadillac 60 Special is in need of full restoration. It was running years ago when parked in this spot. So it has a good engine and transmission to rebuild on. It is ready for someone with time and money to do a tender loving restoration. Or! Use this car for parts!See the parts list for additional parts.
Old Cars Price Guide has established the value for this RARE model (dual fender spare tire mount sedan) in mint restored condition at $60K. It was my Dad's dream to restore and drive this car on the Streets of Washington, C. However, e reluctantly must pass this gem on to someone else to finish.
The powertrain is a 3 speed manual (off the column) with a flathead V8. As far as I know, he trans and engine are original. The engine was running before it was parked it in its present location but it has not run in years. The interior is in need of total restoration. The exterior is in fairly good condition with some surface rust. All systems need attention and rehab. Title is clear. Car was driven into its parked location many year ago, t may still roll and steer. Email me with any questions. I reserve the right to end this auction early.
The 1939 Cadillac 60 Special was the second year for the production of this innovative design by famed GM designer William Mitchell. There was limited production of this vehicle in 1939 making it a bona fide classic!
