Description for Cadillac convertible 1941
Cleaning out the barn to make space for other projects and I am reluctant to sell my 1941 Cadillac 2-door convertible project. Originally from Colorado, but currently located in Arizona sold with clear AZ title. This car is approximately 95% complete (see list below for missing parts). This car sat in a barn for over 20 years until I saved it a few years back. This is a SO (special order) convertible as depicted on the body tag (see pic). This car is a great candidate for restoration.
Interior includes front seat, rear seat, door panels and rear side panels (interior needs restoration). The body is very straight and only has a small rusted area (approx. 1.5” long) where the trunk weather strip goes (see pics). Also, there is a small patch panel riveted on the drivers floorboard (see pics). All other rust that I can see is surface rust from sitting.
All door vent window frame assemblies, window regulators, latches and misc. hardware is included (no new side glass). The windshield and windshield gasket are new and installed. All original door handles, dash instruments and clock are intact and in excellent condition. Bumpers were chromed in 1991 and look excellent.
Motor is not original and a later year flathead (looks to have been rebuilt several years back). Motor is currently stuc, but with a little work probably will free up. This car sat in a barn for more than 20 years without being turned over. I pulled the heads and the cylinders look pretty good with no noticeable ridge. I will re-bolt-up everything on the motor when it sells. Transmission is an automatic trans.
Items that I see that are missing are:
Hood/grille trim, Hood letters “CADILLAC”, Convertible top center latch, Tail light wire connectors to body harness connectors, Trans hump inspection cover/plug, Trunk emblem, Passenger side front fender spears, Convertible top actuating cylinders.
Items that are extra:
Headlight bezels (nice chrome), Dash gauge bezels (nice chrome), Radio & Antenna, hood ornament (nice chrome).
NOTE: Please contact me with any questions, I might have missed something with all the parts that come with the car.
