The body style number on this vehicle is 6237. and we show this to be called a Coupe. We have found some applications that say 6237DX is a body code that is specific unto the Coupe DeVille only. However. our research indicates the 6237 body number production run is less than the 6237DX production run by almost 6K units making this body style rarer than any other production vehicle except for some convertibles and special export models. As for the emblems being in the wrong location. you are incorrect on that as they are placed on the body panel just below the quarter glass. We have found instances in our search of emblems on the lower RH trunk area and on the lower LH trunk area. but we have also found some with NO TRUNK emblem at all. As to your claim that this ”is and can never be a matching number” vehicle it seems you are the one without knowledge on this and have gone way overboard voicing your opinion. The number on our title is 5562117658. The number on the Cadillac ID plate on the driver’s door is 5562117658. The number on the chassis on the right frame side bar behind engine support bracket is 5562117658. The number on the engine boss on the front face of right cylinder block is 5562117658. And you want to tell us we need to amend our listing to say “NOT NUMBER MATCHING”. It seems you are the one who needs to understand the meaning of “Matching Numbers”. At every location that can be found on this vehicle with a “number”. it has the same number…door ID plate…chassis…engine block…and the title that is in our possession. Why we understand that Corvette people check carbs. fuel pumps. coils. alternators and many other parts. it is not done that way with this application. The title. chassis. engine and Cadillac ID plate all have the same numbers. thereby. making this a “Matching Number” vehicle.
