Description for Cadillac Fleetwood 1976
This is the Ultimate Cadillac: the last year of the big body and the 500cid big block, the super desirable Fleetwood TALISMAN trim level made even more appealing in triple black. (black paint, black top, black interior)See the body tag, this is a legit triple black Talisman, and its better than any Brougham!
This 1976 model should not have 4 passenger seating, but I found a 1974 back seat which is rarer and cooler because of the extra console. Don't worry, the correct back seat was saved and comes with the car. A low mile original (49k unverified on odometer) that's an awesome "driver quality" Caddy as it sits: needingcosmetic work to be a fantastic show car for the enthusiast who wants to DOMINATE The Cadillac Brougham Game!
Here's a list of the good bits:
- Runs and drives like a proper big-block Caddy: effortlessly and powerfully
- Non-smoker
- Vogue tires have decent tread left
- New front and rear Cadillac Crests
- New battery
- New brake lines, hoses, prop valve, rear wheel cylinders and master cylinder.
- New Fuel Lines
- New Transmission seal, gasket, filter
- Rebuilt front suspension with new springs, shocks, bushings and tie rod ends.
- New Rear Shocks
- New Heater Core and Heat Control Valve
- Previous owner used incorrect vinyl material for a new top upon repainting. Also lost the "Fleetwood Talisman" emblems. I bought the correct C-pillar emblems from the same 1974 Talisman that donated its back seat, seen in the photo. (disregard the 1980s Fleetwood emblems, they'll come with the car just for fun)
- Chrome is faded in several spots.
- Steering wheel wood-trim is in poor condition
- 8-track won't eject from stereo (the stereo worked fine until then) and the previous owner installed a Sony CD Changer with FM Modulator: it worked fine but is certainly not period correct.
- Older paint job still shines well, but there are small rust bubbles under the vinyl roof.
