Description for Cadillac Seville 1978
1978 CADILLAC SEVILLEMAINTENENCE DOCUMENTS!
OLD SCHOOL STYLING!
In 1977, Cadillac re-introduced the Seville name and took a crack at the mid size automobile market. With cutting edge styling Cadillac capture now a second type of buyer. The buyer that wanted something a little smaller, yet didn't want to sacrifice on ride, comfort and styling. And lets face it......they still wanted the Cadillac name. The Seville was lighter, and stuffed with a 350 V8 that was fuel injected into each cylinder, was able to keep up any vehicle on the road. Cars like this are becoming harder and harder to find. This 1978 Cadillac Seville was certainly used but was well taken care of. It carriesstate of art technology for its time. With indicator lights in the dash that shine green for economy and amber that means not fuel efficient. Back in the 70's believe it or not was mind blowing. The 70's use to be the forgotten years in the automobile industry. As the 80's progressed so did technology. The cars from the 70's started to be referred to as sleds, or boats. But now are at the cusp of becoming very valuable. People, like myself, remember growing up in cars like this. And if a Cadillac was sitting in the driveway........you were somebody!! Please read over this ad about the 1978 Cadillac Seville offered here today. Its a driver, but its a special kind of driver. You can leave it the way it is and just drive it or you can fix it up while you drive. Read on for the condition of this vehicle and let us know of any questions.
Exterior:
The outside of this vehicle presents well. It has been repainted some time ago and the top was dyed a darker brown but underneath its the same color as the car. The bumper extensions will need replacement. The glass is all intact with no chips or cracks. The bright work is original and still shines. They're a very few rust bubbles coming through that need attention, both very minor. The tires are from the 80's and the hubcaps are intact. The car certainly looks good, however, to make it show quality it will need some up keeping. All the lights work as they should. Please look at the large pictures below and let us know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
The interior for the most part is original. Some patch panels have been stitched in and you can see the mismatched colors. The dash has some cracks but a new dash cover is ready to paint and install. All power options work including the level ride system. There are some books and old fashion hand written records for oil changes. A suspension and brake overhaul was done in the 90's with documentation to support. Headliner has no rips and carpet is good. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.
Drive-Train:
The engine is a 350 fuel injected that I think Cadillac bowered from Oldsmobile. Its the original engine and transmission. The tranny is the turbo 350. The car runs and stops fine. But a nice tune up and filters and maybe timing set would do it justice. The tires are from the 80's and hold air but they are bias ply so be careful. The a/c works!!! Please let us know of any questions.
