When style meant a bright color and 20ft of chrome and a hood longer than a Civic. Hitting a bump hard did not cause your drink to spill either. Fez hat and fur coat not included. This is the last of the era of huge Cadillac Eldorados that had power everything, cushy ride, large engine, and lots of chrome and leg room. This is a special car being the Biarritz Special Edition to commemorate the end of this model run that was replaced the following year 1979, to the smaller more compact model Eldorado.
This being a special car, it has been well taken care of overall, the blue paint looks great, though there are some flaws that are difficult to picture. Call it an outstanding 2-3 footer. Interior is excellent. Seats are plush and soft, not brittle and worn like many. This car appears to have been loved and kept indoors most of its lifetime. Only flaws on this car are some minor patching on one bumper surround that is cracking a little bit, a small cut on the drivers side door handle (these all seem to have these if original), and some small paint flaws. Underside is just as clean as the topside. Engine compartment is so clean it can be eaten off. Chrome is all complete and shines up with no pitting. Original cigarette lighters in all ashtrays and original owners manual are a part of this sale. Miles are low at 81K.
Driving the car is a dream of comfort. Just about everything works on the car, such as cruise, power equipment, air, heat, lights, power trunk, radio, etc. Three area not 100% perfect are the power antenna (only up), horn (intermitant), radio pixels (some not working, but radio does work). These are all very minor, and a weekend of tinkering no longer be an issue. I like it just the way it is myself as even my new Porsche does not work 100%.
Take a good look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. You will be hard pressed to find anything cleaner or mechanically stronger than this Eldorado. Fly in, drive home.
