Description for Cadillac Eldorado 1978

1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz One Owner 57K Factory Moon Roof Perfect Rare NR!

Please take some time to check out all 41 pictures below, as this original 1 owner Cadillac Biarritz with the rare factory sunroof is spectacular from the body to the interior to the motor to the undercarriage. The powertrain is a 180hp 425 cid, 4bbl. motor mated to an automatic transmission. It was assembled at the GM plant in Linden, NJ in November of 1977. My Biarritz is one of the few produced with the factory moon roof, CB radio with the am/fm stereo 8-track. It's loaded with power options including windows, seats, locks, roof and trunk. Other options include cruise control and climate control. The power antenna has been disconnected and has a tendency to get stuck with the CB resistor on. I found the Caddy in a garage where it had been stored for more than 10 years and kept in running condition with a trip around the block once a week with weather permitting. The car was originally from Kentucky and registered in MI on 10/21/97. The original ower died many years ago and bequeathed the Eldo to his son, who I purchased it from last summer. The Cadillac has been kept in all original and pristine shape. The body, chrome, interior, motor compartment and undercarriage are in excellent shape and I have pictures that will not disappoint in person. When I purchased the car, I had the following items attended to:

  • new hood ornament (the original was missing)
  • complete tune up including wires, plugs and necessary adjustments
  • new white wall tires (the originals were dry rotted from age)
  • new carpet (the old carpet was too stained to properly clean)
  • new front and rear bumper fillers (they hardened and cracked,a classic Cadillac issue)
  • the bumper fillers were professionally painted and replaced
With only 57,000 original miles, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer and well-optioned Cadillac and I encourage you to look at the other ones selling on eBay for a much higher price. I have driven her several hundred miles and she runs like a Swiss watch with no rattles, squeaks or smoke out the exhaust. She just sails down the road nice and straight like a brand new Cadillac Eldorado. Whoever wins the auction will have a true collectible to cruise down the road with the moonroof open and a smile on their face. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me at 313-729-3671 and I'll be happy to make sure that you know everything about the car. Lastly, one of my hubcaps received a ding the other day and I took a closeup picture of it so that you know it in advance. Other than that and, of course, some paint loss on the valve covers (kept them original rather than to have them painted), you'll be receiving the most beautiful machine ever made by Cadillac.
Feel free to check my perfect eBay profile or my other eBay name under "smileylink," as I have over 2,400 all positive comments over the course of decades of selling items on eBay.
Please, no low balls offers, as this is the absolute lowest I'll sell the car at no reserve and I honestly won't take a penny less. These cars continue to move up in price and this one is truly special for it's one ownership prominence, low miles and factory options. Come see it for yourself by calling me (Peder) at 313-729-3671 and I'll set up a time for you to go back in time in a timely manner. Or, feel free to have the car inspected, as I want to ensure that you're satisfied with the purchase. I'm building a fine reputation as a car lover who has been featured on Mlive.com, a local online news column. Feel free to look up the article entitled, "Specializing in Strange."
Please keep in mind that this is a no reserve auction and your bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase the vehicle. If you make a bid, I'll assume that you've already kicked the tires, asked the significant other and have funds available. Also, ask any and all questions before making a bid, as I want to make sure you know everything you need to before making your decision.Feel free to have the car inspected or come by to take it for a test drive. I do reserve the right to end the auction early, as the car is for sale locally. The buyer will be responsible for having the car shipped, but I'll be happy to pick you up at Detroit Metropolitan Airport if you want to fly in and drive her home. A nonrefundable $500 deposit will be due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment in the form ofclearedcertified check, Paypal or cash in person by 3 days with no exceptions.
Lastly, don't worry about me sticking you with extra processing fees, paperwork costs and other bloated additions to the cost of the Eldorado. I have a clean, signed title and the price you bid will be the price you pay. If you have a negative feedback rating or less than 10 eBay transactions, please contact me before you bid. Also, if you're from out of the country, contact me before you bid, as the only item I've shipped overseas was a Studebaker motor and that was a hassle! Thank you!
