This is a desirable pre-War model prior to shut down of auto production for war industry. All body and interior trims are complete. Grey leather interior.
In just 10 years after the Model A, technology had evolved with V-8 performance to cruise comfortably at 65 mph, suitable for modern highways. Its modest flat-head V-8 was replaced with a 1971 Cadillac 500 c.c. and its matching automatic transmission. Talking about neck breaking hot rod performance: A little tap on the gas and it's going 90 mph! I can tell you, it's really a fun car to drive! (Don't drink.) The stock differential was retained in favor of keeping the original rear axle, brakes, wheels and wheel covers. Instead, the drive line was custom fabricated, i.e. with 71 front U-joints and 41 rear joints to mate with the stock differential. 12-volt conversion with new gauges. Battery disconnect switch serves as anti-theft device and for storage safety. Professional engineering and installation is flawless. Best of all, 1971 replacement parts are readily available at reasonable cost. This is not an abandoned project. It is ready to cruise or show as is. Registration has been current for many years.
The vehicle presents well with a Gold on '41 Cimarron Green Poly. It is a nice paint job with clear coat. The car starts, idles, shifts, drives, steers and stops as it should, ..... even better with power steering. Front bumper guards with cross bar will be back from plating shop, if you want them. It also comes with a solid extra hood with hinges and some fittings, if your shipper would pick it up. (Picnic basket and glassware do not go with car as they were an Anniversarypresent.)
Large boxes of hard to find spare parts come with the car, including tune up parts, door handles, tail light assemblies, glass, radio grille, set of spare U-joints, spare differential, extra hood, air vent, specs and resources references from research for OEM parts. This is as good as it gets, a marriage of classic styling and modern performance.
