Description for Cadillac DeVille 1959
I have a very good condition 1959 Cadillac Flat Top Sedan DeVille Hardtop with approximately 109,000 miles. This was primarily a southwestern vehicle, having spent many years in Las Vegas, NV with a former Elvis impersonator, who used the vehicle as part of his act. I have owned this for 11 years and have done a lot of work to bring it back to the original specifications, including replacing or repairing all the wiring and under-dash electronics, though it still has a bit of cosmetic work needed. The vehicle is sound mechanically with a well maintained engine. Most of the suspension and exhaust are brand new, and the brakes work wonderfully well. Last month it passed the annual New Hampshire State Inspection and is immediately ready for the road. The interior is in excellent shape and was redone in the original style many years ago, likely during the 1980s or 1990s, and seat belts were installed at that time. The former Elvis impersonator had an aftermarket radio installed, along with a loudspeaker system since it was part of his act. The original radio has been re-installed, the loudspeaker system removed. The aftermarket radio is in the trunk, but the aftermarket speakers are still on the rear deck. The headliner is in excellent shape, and all the interior lights work. The white dash pad is not original to the vehicle. The rear passenger door is missing the cover for the armrest ashtray. Being a southwestern vehicle, the former owner had all three of the rear windows heavily tinted, but not enough to prevent it from passing state inspection.
Also included are many extra interior and exterior trim pieces, rear reflectors (to replace the broken one on the driver's side), shop manual, an extra dash pad, spare hubcaps, as well as the original air conditioner compressor (which is in need of repair). The exterior is not the original color, having been painted by the former owner to better match the Elvis motif. The exterior is not in perfect shape, with some scratches and a recent small dent on the front of the driver's side fender, but there is almost no rust.
