Up for auction is a 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham that I am selling for a family friend. As you can see from the pictures, this car is big! Truly a land yacht or boat, this vehicle glides down the highway & has an excellent ride. It is powered by a 500 cid v8 that runs great (see video). To be a car that is 43 years old, it has a lot of modern day amenities. Leather, power door locks, power windows, power radio antenna, cruise control, automatic climate control, remote mirror control, power trunk lid closer. The exterior blue paint is in good condition but a good wax job would do it well.I am selling this vehicle for a family friend. The vehicle was purchased some time in the late 90's by her husband who took it to car shows. He had the car painted some time later. Although blue is the original color, it is not the original paint. After his passing in 2013, the car was stored covered in a utility building where she would start the engine every couple of months & occasionally drive it.
This car is in great shape but does have a few issues. The floor pans are solid, the fender skirts & the mounting hardware is solid, inside the trunk is solid. The engine runs well but as you can see from the pictures, the cruise control bladder needs replacing. The air conditioner system is complete but does not work. There is a small amount of pressure in the system but not enough to engage the compressor. It does not look like the system has been converted to the newer refrigerant. The tires do not have much tread life left & will need to be replaced. The vinyl roof has a few imperfections above the rear glass that have been touched up.
Bidding starts at $2000 with no reserve. Full payment is expected when the vehicle is picked up and should be picked up within 2 weeks. Cash is preferred at pickup, but I will accept a cashier's check if the transaction is done during business hours & the cashier's check can be verified by the bank. No personal checks please.
