Description for Cadillac Cimarron 1986
Offering up for sale this beautiful low mileage 1986 Cadillac Cimarron. We acquired this car from an estate sale and have installed a new fuel pump and injectors as well as new tires and headliner.
The car starts/runs/drives fine, though it could use a tune-up as the idle is a little rough and power is sluggish at times.
Known issues are intermittent power door lock operation, faulty wiper switch and cassette player seems to be non-functional. There is slight evidence of minor body work done at some point to the rear driver's door area. This is mostly only evident due to minor over-spray in the door jam area.
The sun visors were left uninstalled after the headliner was replaced because they would not stay up and out of the way. A few pieces of exterior trim have fallen off and these pieces will be included.
Also included are replacement bumper end caps. These are reproduction items made of fiberglass and they will likely require professional prep and installation.
On the positive side, this is a southern California car with zero rust, very few dings/dents/scratches and the leather interior is in nearly new condition.
The mileage indicates 18,500 miles and this seems to be accurate based on the estate information provided as well as the DMV records. However as this is an old car, mileage cannot be 100% guaranteed.
This is a beautiful car and we hate to see it go but an upcoming move requires some thinning of the collector car herd. If you know the history of this car, you know the Cimarron was rather unloved which is a shame. This particular later production example is extremely comfortable, surprisingly quiet and deserves a good home where it will be appreciated.
I've done my best to accurately describe this vehicle, but please write if you have any questions.
