Description for Cadillac DeVille 1951

1951 Cadillac Coupe DeVille
This is a great foundation for a sweet ride! Whether you restore it or lower it and build an awesome custom, this Cadillac is complete enough to go either way! While it is my intention to describe the condition of this vehicle in as great of detail as possible, I encourage you to look at all 24 pictures (I have more, but this is the eBay maximum) included with this ad and feel welcome to contact me via the eBay message board or by phone (Chad) @ (406)403-6921. This vehicle has a clear Montana Title in my name and I will also issue a notarized Bill of Sale on Montana Department of Motor Vehicle form. This vehicle is actually very complete, although it doesn't appear as such since the dismantling has been started to begin the work of rehabbing this beauty! In fact, I can only think of two hub caps and the rear fender skirts that are missing.
Body/Sheet Metal/Trim: This car is very solid. The small spot of rust-through visible on the lower corner of the passenger door is the only spot of its kind I have found. The discoloration on the body is mostly from where the paint has worn off down to the primer - it is not cancerous rust! On the trunk lid and quarter panel, a light coat of body filler is noticeable, but it is not very thick...I would call it a "skim coat." The seats have been removed (but are included with the car) so the floors are fully visible and are solid. Also, I have included two photos of the undercarriage. It is important to note that, while Montana is a state with four seasons - one being cold winter - it is a very dry climate with low relative humidity and the state does not use salt on its winter roadways. This is all to say, vehicles from Montana simply do not fall victim to the same cancerous rust on frames, floors, doors, rockers, and quarter panels as states in the mid-west and eastern United States. The trim for this car is all complete and included as well. The car comes with two grilles (not pictured), two front bumpers (one pictured), and two rear bumpers (pictured). The side trim and all window trim is included and in good condition. Doors open and close nicely. The trunk latch is broken, but there.
Interior/Glass: The interior of this classic, although in need of complete restoration, is complete. All the power window actuators and hydraulic lines remain intact along with the power seat actuators and the under-seat heater. The dash is complete and in very nice condition (pictured). The windshield and back glass are both in good condition. The door and quarter glass cannot be assessed as the windows are down and, because they are power, cannot be raised. This is of little consequence, however, because all the side glass is flat and easily cut by a local glass shop. Enough of the windows are visible, though, to confirm the window trim is present on them.
Engine/Transmission/Drive-Train: The V8 in this car is stuck, although air cleaner, valve covers, oil filler cap and distributor are all in place and, presumably, keeping the engine protected from the elements. The car is complete under the hood. The car rolls freely, but the shift linkage is in need of some adjustment because it will not currently go into park. All the suspension is complete.
Again, please look this car over well and contact me with additional questions. As stated above, this car has a clear Montana title and I will also issue a notarized Bill of Sale on official MT MVD letterhead. This car is being sold in "as-is/where-is" condition. No warranty/guarantee - written or implied - exists with this vehicle. Transportation of the vehicle is the responsibility of the buyer, but I can help arrange transportation (contact me for details). A non-refundable deposit is required at the close of sale and the remaining balance must be paid in full before the vehicle will be released for transport. The vehicle must be removed for transport within 30 days of close of sale unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, certified check, PayPal and all major credit cards. Please note: A 3.5% convenience fee will be added to all portions of the transaction conducted electronically (i.e. PayPal, credit card, etc.). Please feel welcome to contact me prior to the close of the sale to arrange payment in the manor convenient to you.
