Custom Cadillac - 1989 Cadillac Brougham D’elegance

1989 Cadillac Brougham D’elegance. $14k invested on restoring and customizing 6 years ago. Stored winters. Usually in a garage or covered with an all weather cover during the summer. Appraisal included. About the car:

• 4 door sedan.
• Car has 120,000M on it. The previous owner over heated the engine and had it replaced with a factory rebuilt motor. The motor has 60,000 M on it and runs great. Synthetic oil changes every year. 5L 307 V8 Oldsmobile motors were used in these cars so the parts are cheap!
• Power windows, power trunk, power sunroof all work. Huge sunroof! Power seats and power mirrors as well!
• Burgundy pincushion velour interior is very comfortable. During the restoration, the interior was removed. Any holes were patched and the floor was painted. New Ultra Plush burgundy carpet was installed with custom Cadillac embroidered matching mats. The upper door panel fabrics were replaced with the D’elegance embroidering to match the original. The headliner will need to be replaced.
• Painted pearl white with gold and silver metallic. UV protectant clear coat.
• A new rear bumper was installed during restoration.
• All emblems, badges and hood ornament are done gold in colour.
• Oil guarded undercarriage.
• Has an aftermarket alarm system with a key fob for door locks and trunk release.
• Has an aftermarket stereo, speakers amp and sub.
• Shaved door handles. 60lb solenoids with key fobs to open the doors. Buttons installed to open your doors from the inside.
• Air Bag Suspension custom installed. Polished aluminum 7 gallon air tank mounted in the trunk along with two Viair chrome compressors. 7 Way controller and air pressure gauge mounted by the drivers seat.
• 22” Chrome and Gold plated 150 spoke rims and tires. Tires have lots of tread left. Some surface rust due to poor gold plating. I was going to have them powder coated all gold but that’s a winter project!
• Ghost lights installed on the drivers and passengers doors project The Cadillac emblem on the ground at night when you open the doors.
• Customized grill with gold and chrome.
• Painted the mirrors to match the car and painted the Cadillac lettering on the mirrors gold.
• All new door seals and trunk seal installed at restoration.
• New ball joints, shocks, brakes, tie rods, bearings installed during restoration.
• Car cover will be included
• Original chrome trim pieces removed during the restoration, original rims, tires and hub caps and the original stereo/speaker can be included.
• New radiator installed last year.
• The original soft top was removed for a clean look during the restoration. A custom aluminum panel was created for the back window to maintain the rear “limo” window.
• A new windshield was installed during restoration.
• custom mirrors cut and installed on the inside of the trunk lid.
• Several restoration pictures available!

Problems with the car:

• there is an exhaust leak. Not sure where. It’s drive-able just a little loud. Was considering installing headers and dual exhaust.
• Needs a heater core if you want heat. Currently it is bypassed.
• The air conditioning will work but needs to be recharged.
• Could use a couple of minor paint touch ups. No rust.
