Description for Cadillac Seville 1984
This vehicle was my first car, and I have owned it since 2007.In 2012 I paid about 4000 to purchase a rebuilt 4100 motor from Jasper engines and then paid to have it installed with the intention of keeping it.However, the car just ended up sitting in my garage for the most-part.Now I have moved and no longer have a garage to store the vehicle in. I would like her to go to a good home, with lots of love.Would be a fun project car for someone who is mechanically inclined. She already drives, and recently had more work done so that I could transport her when I was moving.
Recent work done in the last few months -New spark plugs installedNew $150.00 battery installed$570 spent replacing the fuel tank sending unit, fuel pump - electric in-tank - OEM Equivalent, Fuel tank lock ring, and fuel filter ( message me for a pic of the receipt for better explanation)$272.17 spent fixing a short that was causing the new battery to drain and trying to fix the horn. - horn relay was replaced, broken horn wire retainer was replaced (message me for a pic of this receipt for better explanation) - mechanic said turn signal switch may need to be replaced for the horn to work(although the turn signals work).Tube for suction on brakes was also replaced.
New muffler installed around the same time the engine was replaced.
Defects:Needs horn repaired, mechanics for the front passenger seat do not work, but the mechanics in the drivers seat are in good working condition. lock/unlock triggers but doesn't actually lock or unlock the doors so they have to be locked/ unlocked manually. Windows roll up and down, but I have babied them and haven't messed with them unless necessary.Front drivers seat cushion is a little worn, and panel that covers fuses under dash missing a screw and a piece broke off ( shown in pics).Crack in dash from the Texas heat.Something with the axles was replaced by my father before I stopped driving it ( the box is in the trunk).Small square panel behind the bumper on the side of the car missing, I have seen that on a lot of other Cadillac Sevilles that are about this year make(missing piece shown on the left side-view).Upholstery and exterior otherwise in very good condition for the year considering it is all original (except radio). Antenna for the radio that goes up and down was broken by a mechanic when it was my daily driver back in 2007.There is a slow dripping oil-leak of some sort under the car, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, the oil is of a clearish-tan hue.
My father had the original radio, but hasn't been able to find it.
I have printed out my bank statement from April 2012 with the transaction to jasper motors.
- Actual original miles unknown ( the odometer rolled over when it was my daily driver), but the current engine only has a few hundred miles.
