Up for auction is my 1948 Superior Cadillac Ambulance/Hearse Combination Car.. This is one of 2,067 75 Series Commercial Chassis (163" wheelbase) built in 1948, at the time when Cadillac was held to be the "Standard of the World".This is a very rare vehicle obviously in need of a complete restoration.This vehicle is pretty much all complete,even has the original medical cabinet in the back.It has a 346 V8 Flathead with a 3 speed manual transmission but is not operative at this time.The body is in overall good condition, given the age of the vehicle.The floors are in very solid condition,the door skins at the bottom of the doors will require metal work.There are other small spots that will need some metal work.A good autobody man/metal fabricator could bring this car back to it's former glory with minimum effort.This vehicle restored could bring a huge return,funeral cars are well sought after these days by private collectors and are increasing in value.When was the last time you saw one of these on the road?.I had high hopes of turning on the lights & sirens in a parade,but have come to realize I do not have the time nor the resources to make that happen.Good luck bidding, bid it to get it.
