Description for Cadillac DeVille 1975

1975 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Original Paint & Interior Dunbarton Green over Blue Green Cloth Only 42,140 Miles From New Excellent Documentation - Window Sticker, Manuals, Etc. S-Code 500ci V8 VIDEO WITH LISTING VIN: 6D47S5E527942 6: Cadillac D: DeVille 47: 2dr Hardtop Coupe S: 500ci V8 5: 1975 Model Year E: Linden, NJ Assembly Plant 527942: Production Number Trim: Blue Green Check (32N) Paint: Dunbarton Green (32) Top: Dark Blue Green (R) Purchased new at Child Chev-Olds-Cad in Bel Air, Maryland, this '75 Coupe DeVille was wonderfully spec'd out, painted in the striking and new-for-1975 Dunbarton Green, and paired... with an equally stunning Blue Green interior. The car remained in Maryland its whole life, trading hands twice before we brought it to Chicago. This car has been babied and never modified, and will come with all of its original documentation, including the window sticker, pre-delivery inspection report, warranty booklet with delivery info, owner's manual and booklet, as well as a brief handwritten mileage record. As it sits now, this is an entirely original, well-sorted, low-mile survivor in impressive condition and with tremendous curb appeal. The Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. All blemishes are shown close-up and in direct sunlight. Blemishes are limited to a couple little dings and chips, certainly nothing glaring. Dunbarton Green paint is original throughout, with paint gauge readings of 2.7-3.6 on every panel. Dunbarton Green is not a metallic paint, which is refreshing to see on the often-metallic Coupe DeVille. Paint is in very good condition, with little for signs of age. - Wheels and tires are both in nice shape. Hubcaps show no damage or oxidation. Goodyear whitewalls appear to be relatively new, and show no dryness or significant wear. - Polished surfaces like bumpers and trim are excellent throughout. Nice mirror-like finish, free of any damage or oxidation. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. Lights and signals are all functional. - Top is excellent. No real signs of age. The Interior: - Again, please defer to the photos and video. Blue Green cloth is a beautiful trim level. No punctures, burst seams, fraying, significant scratches/scuffs, or discoloring. Even the outer bolsters are in great shape. Rears look to have seldom been used, seriously mint. Door panels are excellent, with no kicked-open markings or oxidation on the instrument panel. Original carpet is still nice and plush with vibrant color. Original floormats (front and rear) are in impressive shape as well. - Dash top is excellent. No cracking or other damage. Dash "wood" also presents well, with no hairline cracks or peeling. Odometer reads 42,120, correct based on previous owner's knowledge, fantastic originality, and excellent condition of typical wear items. Dash lights and interior lights are all functional. - Nonfunctional: Power antennae. Radio does power on and play music, but the power antennae does not go up and down. Also, the blower motor and R12 air conditioning are not functional. We can hear the climate control unit register when we switch the settings, but air does not blow out with any force. - Headliner is nice and tight and the sun visors hold their position. Under the Hood / Under the Car: - Please take a look at the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. No previous metal work, structurally excellent and the original dealer-optioned undercoating has kept the floors nice and solid. Only spots of noteworthy corrosion is a small area behind the corner of the quarter trim piece (see photos). - The car runs and drives very well. It idles cool, steady, and quiet, pulls through the gears nice and smoothly with no hesitation, tracks straight, and brakes straight and effectively. Handwritten records indicate the car had just over 38k miles in the summer of 2012, and has been driven roughly 500 miles a year since to bring the present total to just over 42k.
