Description for Cadillac DeVille 1956
The Caddy's were among the first to have drastic body style changes after WWII. That being said by 1953 we had come to begin to notice the rear tail fins. As in 56 they had improved and would finally be their largest by 59. This car has just come out of a shop that had it for 4 years. The previous owner has spent over 30K on this car at this time. I will take SUBSTANCIALLY less than that for it now. He lost interest as happens in a lot of cases. He is a nice guy but finally just said ENOUGH!As they did pretty good work it is in very nice condition mechanically 8. 5 out of 10. The interior is in WONDERFULL shape and really is very nice 9. 5 out of 10. The paint is a Nissan tri coat color of pearl white. It is a 6 on a 1 to10 scale. This car runs very well. It starts right up. due to EVERYTHING engine related is new or rebuilt. She idles well and goes into gear correctly. as all of the transmission is also new. The brakes and suspension are 100% new as well. What I am trying to get across is that this car has not received a restoration. per say. however it has had every nut . olt. screw. brake line. wire etc. renewed or repaired. As far as I know it needs very little to complete. I have driven this car a few miles and it performs flawlessly! It does what it is supposed to do! I do not want to represent this car as restored as most of the work/repairs were done by an amateur and it is not correct to assume that the quality of work would be the same as if performed by a specialist. Again. that being said this is a VERY NICE car over all. The drivability is rated by me at a solid 8+ out of a 1-10. The only issue is a slight pull to the right in the steering ( alignment) and the brake petal wants to not come all of the way back up. which is VERY common with this type of power brakes. It DOES NOT pull when braking. even a hard stop! She tracks straight. runs very well. shifts good. has plenty of power. steers without effort and feels just like it weighs 4 or 5 THOUSAND pounds. And I believe it does. The fit on the doors could be better and some of the door rubbers etc. have not yet been install. With a little TLC this car will button up well and should provide years of quality driving pleasure. Feel free to call with ANY questions. I ship world wide . BUT ONLY to countries that don't hate us! This vehicle is located here at my restoration facility in BEAUTIFUL Corpus Christi. Texas. The zip code is 78414 and you will need that for a quote! I have had very good luck with autotransportdirect. com. Again. uestions? Concerns? I have no idea what the differences may be. but thought I wanted to make clear what this car is in addition to being a very nice 2 dr hard top caddy! On Mar-06-15 at 12:18:14 PST. seller added the following information: If you have 0 feedback do not bid on my cars!!!!!!!I will cancel all of those 0 feedback bids!!!!!
