Description for Ford Thunderbird 1988
I bought this Thunderbird in 1989 with only 20. 00 miles. It was a dealer demo. I drove it 26 years and kept up with regular maintenance. In the past 4 months it has had over 1500. 00 in new parts. The car has passed WV inspection in March. New parts include tires. all belts. nbsp;tensioner and hoses. rear brake calipers and shoes. including parking brake cables. It has a new oil change. radiator flushed and transmission fluid changed with new universal joints. Spark Plugs. wires. cap & rotor with tune -up. The Turbo and exhaust manifold was replaced with an aftermarket hybrid. Which was a bad decision. the original turbo is still good and could be or should be put back on and is included with auction. The new Turbo is to big and does not spool up as fast as the original. The fuel system was serviced with a new fuel pressure regulator and new fuel injectors. The VAM was also replaced with a direct replacement. The dimmer switch is new and head lights/tail lights cleaned and polished. As much as I hesitate on selling this classic. it is ready for a new owner. It is not perfect but will make a good daily driver or restoration candidate. I have four other vehicles and don't need to see this one sit. Still needs minor work but runs and drives well. Does not leak or burn oil. Transmission has always been shifted gently. clutch has 15. 00 miles on it. Suspension has a squeak. small exhaust leak that goes away after warmed up. Passenger window needs help to go down. goes up fine. The wires for the drivers seat need spliced together. One spot of rust starting on fender. Never wrecked. just one small dent. Has trailer hitch.
