Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1988

The Classy styling and the Showroom Condition of this Southern California 300CE makes it a real head turner. I get compliments on it all the time. This 300CE is enjoys a robust build quality the likes of which will never be seen again. Interior. exterior. and mechanically this 300CE is flawless. Don’t mistake the 300CE for a cheap C class. This is a true hand-built E Class Coupe during an era when a Mercedes was a Mercedes. Unbelievable Quality even after 25 plus years - Originally Cost $55. 00. Starting bid less than a tenth of that! Fully Loaded with heated seats. cruise. sunroof. leather. full-power. air conditioning. ABS. SRS. telescoping steering wheel. Automatic. wipers on the headlights. etc… Driven on average less than 5k miles per year; currently 146. 00 original miles. 3 owner car; clean title; have title on hand. Bulletproof Drivetrain - 3. 0 Liter Straight Six (It is not uncommon to reach half a million miles). Very roomy and comfortable (I am 6’1” 250 pounds and find it very roomy). Engine Purrs and Tranny shifts perfectly with lots of "get up and go" The 124 Series had a modern chassis so they drive like modern cars; unlike cars made in the 60’s and 70’s Good Gas Mileage – 15 City. over 20 Hwy. Air condition converted to R134 (Away from Freon) Blows Ice Cold! Beautiful Instrumental panel and center console trimmed with Zerbena Wood. Very rare beautiful color combination – Imperial Red with Crème interior. Never Been in Accident; Beautiful Original paint; Never Smoked in. This car is so mint it is like a time machine :) I love this car and after ten years as my daily driver I am going to miss her. but it's time for someone else to enjoy her. I am going to be getting a hatchback to accommodate my dogs. (one now but plan to rescue one more) Body/Paint 8 out of 10 (needs a good wax job and it will be 9 out of 10) Interior 9 out of 10 (needs a new pair of floor mats) Mechanical 9 out of 10 (Nothing outstanding) Over $12. 00 Spent not to mention the time and love Premium 16" chrome wheels from an S Series Mercedes with Bridgestone Turanza rubber – Cost $2200 Premium Blaupunkt stereo with Two Amps. CD Changer. Infinity Sub. & Focal Speakers – Cost $1700 Viper Alarm and Bluetooth. cost $550 Garmin Navigation Custom installed In-dash with console and external antenna – Cost $900 Custom cup Holder with coin Holder and Auxiliary Jack – Cost $300 Oil Leaks fixed – Timing Belt Cover. Valve Cover. Rear Engine Seal. Transmission Seal. Transmission Housing Assembly. Rear End. etc. – Regardless of the mileage. if you are going to buy an older Mercedes you are going to have these leaks; I fixed them so that I don't have to stain my driveway or even worse my friends' driveways – Cost - $3200 Wood trim Professionally Restored – cost $600 New Leather Front Seats – cost $1000 Air Condition converted to R134 – Cost $1200 Also routine repairs like brakes. battery. and alternator have all been done. I only use Mercedes genuine parts. Oil changes were done every 2500 miles. In addition. I happen to be a perfectionist so every little thing that might go wrong was fixed. I have kept all the receipts. You should budget $150-$200 per month for maintenance and repairs. Historically I spend $1000 every 6 months or so. Again as I mentioned earlier it is not uncommon to have these cars go to half a million miles with proper regular maintenance. I know it is hard to make a 25 year old car perfect but I sure got pretty close with this one. If you live far from Los Angeles and plan to buy this car unseen. I hope my perfect EBAY rating will put your mind at ease. Just remember you need to arrange your own shipping. NADA sets the value of a vehicle in the condition at $10. 50. This does not take into account all the extras like the low mileage. Navigation. Custom 16" wheels. Custom Stereo. etc. They describe it in this fashion - "Excellent condition overall. nbsp;completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint. trim. and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. " I think you will be hard pressed to find a similar E class Coupe in this condition. with these extras. and in this color combination at any price. Even if you find one with half the miles I doubt it will be in this condition. I will be happy to provide a current diagnostic report from an AAA authorized service shop for those that don’t reside locally. This car will hold its value and might even be a collector's item one day. who knows. This gorgeous. classic Mercedes coupe needs to go to a good home. I set the starting bid low @ $5000. nbsp;but I hope get closer to $7k for this beauty. Please bid generously; you won’t regret it! Even though this car is in excellent condition it is a used vehicle and sold “AS IS’ with no actual or implied warranties or guarantees.
