Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1989

Here's a great way to get a speedy classic on a budget. This 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28 convertible almost looks stock from the outside, ut keen eyes will start to pick up on the subtle touches that lead to the beast within. It's hard to find a more desirable 1980s machine than an IROC Z/28 Camaro. Either you had one or envied one at some time in your life, nd just like Ray-Ban Aviators, hese never went out of style. There was just something about the sharp-edge styling and ground effects that made these the kings of the boulevards in the 1980s. It only gets better with a rare ragtop that lets you go for a wind-in-your-hair cruise whenever you desire. White might be a more popular color today, ut when this Camaro was new, hades of red and black were much more fashionable. So while everyone else hitting the streets in a more ostentatious paint job, ou get to show a rare stylish restraint... and that's the only time this drop top will be associated with moderation.Peek inside and you'll start to notice how close, et far, his convertible is from stock. First off, he bucket seats have a similar pattern to other 3rd generation Camaros, ut something seems to be a bit different. Not only were these re-upholstered in quality gray cloth less than a year ago, ut when they were redone, he towering headrests were deleted. You won't notice a difference in comfort, nd now the low-back buckets give the car a much cleaner profile with the top down. When you slip into the driver's seat, here's a new grippy sport wheel for the power steering, nd beyond that is a new Sunpro tachometer with shift light. Adding to this extra engine info are three new auxiliary gauges just to your right for water, il, nd battery in a space that's blank on everyone else's Camaro. There are also a few nice convenient options such as the power windows, ower locks, nd a modern AM/FM/CD player. To see the most important upgrade on this convertible, ust simply pop the hood. That's a Chevy 350 cubic-inch V8, ut it's much hotter than anything that was available on the 3rd gen Camaro. This is a ZZ4 crate motor built by GM Performance. It comes with items such as high-flow aluminum heads, luminum intake, nd HEI distributor. All of this produces 350+ hp right out of the box, hich is over 45% more power than the largest stock motor in 1989. Best of all, here are less than 10K miles on the motor. This is mated to a fun, ive speed manual transmission, hich allows great control over the engine while still being idea for highway cruising. The IROC-Zs had disc brakes up front and were always known for this good handling. This only enhanced with a set of Nitto NT555 Extreme sport tires resting on American Racing chrome wheels. We bet you'd expect to pay a lot more to get a sleeper drop top IROC Z/28 that will blow the doors off of anything else from the era.
