The car received its AACA 1st Jr. award in 2013 and its AACA 1st Sr. award in 2014 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (Auto Fair).
3 year old frame off restoration. All work complete with the NCRS judging guidelines in mind. All number matching car including original radio and clock 350 CID 4 speed less than 5000 miles since restorationHigh quality White PPG Concept paint with professionally installed Al Knoch black top and interior. It has power brakes, M FM stereo, ally wheels and the upgraded custom interior option that includes leather seats along with the wood door trim and center console inserts. This car comes with the original sales contract, ar invoice along with the Motor Vehicle order sheet. This type of documentation is rarely found. 1973 is the transition year from steel to rubber front bumper as a federal mandate. Due to its unique steel bumper rear and rubber bumper front its value is increasing faster than any other C3. Pictures do not do this car justice. I purchased this car seven years ago with the intent to build a street mod. Considering the originality of the car and the paperwork included I had no choice but to restore it to its original showroom condition. It took four years to restore paying attention to the details including items unseen. For example the factory paper cone speakers were re-coned with paper as they came from the factory. The spare tire carrier is like a time capsule holding the unrestored original spare wheel and tire. Even the instrumentation is original with a working clock. Yes, he clock works. This was the first year to have a functional cowl induction hood. Full throttle opens the rear hood vent to pressure feed air into the air cleaner system. If you check out the photos you will see the air cleaner to hood seal that funnels the air into the engine.Imagine sliding into the leather driver seat, teering wheel in one hand, earshift in the other hand, he top down, ruising to shows. When you arrive the compliments start flying. Wow great paint job, ow that engine bay is amazing, ow your interior look brand new. If you buy a driver 1973 and then have it restored to this level you can expect to have 50k plus in the car. When sold the AACA Sr. award is returned to the AACA. The car will retain the AACA Jr. national number and the new owner can show the car to regain the Sr. badge back. If you are asking "If the car is so great then why sell it?" . I have too many toys and would like to move on to another project. The car is located 20 minutes south of Charlotte International Airport in NC if you would like to see it before bidding. If you have not shipped a car before U-Ship is a great source. I had it shipped from Pennsylvania to North Carolina when I moved using U-Ship it was less than 600.00 for an enclosed trailer.
