A beautiful 2 owner 1973 C-20 Super Cheyenne 4x4 Camper Special truck.I purchased the truck in November of 2011 from the original owner with 65,000 actual original miles.A non smoker truck that has been babied andmeticulously maintained its entire life.This truck has never been in an accident! No bondo or repairs done to the body or chassis ever.It does not rattle or squeak as you drive down the road.This truck was used for hunting and fishing jaunts, ut spent most of its life in the garage, ut of the weather, afe, arm and dry.
Options/UpgradesI had an HEI electronic ignition and wires installed.Dual Batteries, ower steering, ower brakes, ir conditioning.The stock Quadrajet jet 4bbl carburetor was professionally rebuilt and upgraded, nd works flawlessly.The previous owner gave me boxes and boxes of filters, une up parts, nd everything he saved from when he bought the truck new in 1973!
DrivetrainAfter I purchased the truck I had a brand new Gear Vendor overdrive installed behind the TH 350, hat I had professionally gone through, ith a cooler and deep pan added to it.The overdrive allows the truck to cruise at highway speeds at much lower RPM's (623 rpm's less at 65 mph than the stock 1:1 ratio of a TH350 3rd gear.The 205 transfer case was also gone through and resealed (all gear driven).It has the best rear differential that GM ever used, he famous corporate 14 bolt with full floating axles.The front differential is a heavy duty Dana 44, hich was stock for that year, ith lockable Spicer hubs.It also came with duel 20 gallon fuel tanks, ith switch on the dash.New brakes all around, ront disk and rear wide drum brakes, ew shocks all the way around.Interior/ExteriorThere are a couple surface rust spots on the hood and the passenger rear wheel well (as seen in photos), othing some steel wool and touch up paint wouldn't remedy.Reconditioned seat, seat belts, ike newupholstery, arpet, ead liner, ntire interior is like new. Smells good!I built a wooden center console/cup holder which comes with the truck.He also included the (new in the box) chromed camper attachments that came from the factory, or someone who wants to put a cab-overcamper on the truck.The truck has had the present shell on the bed since it was new.A true time capsule from the early seventies!Thisis a pre-smog truck, nd came from the factory without any smog equipment except a pvc valve.16 inch custom wheels, ichelin 235/85/16 all season tires (load range E) with lots of tread left!Upgraded stereo/CD player with small speakers behind the seat.
