Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1966
This auction is for a nice, riginal 1966 BelAir 4 door sedan. It is equipped with a 275 horsepower 327 cubic inch engine and a Powerglide automatic transmission. This car has factory air conditioning (which needs recharging due to a small leak in the system), ower steering, nd an AM radio that works. A couple of non typical features on this are the rear mounted antenna and wire wheel covers. This BelAir is showing less than 85,000 miles. I believe this to be the original miles as everything is tight with no rattles. This is an excellent driver that needs very little to be perfect. It is both smooth and powerful on the highway. In addition to the images attached to this listing, lease see the YouTube video link http://youtu.be/JVJGGdDs1SA Condition:· Engine is strong like a 327/275 should be and in good condition. In my opinion, hevrolet produced one of the best engines ever with the 327/275 (Factory Holley 4 barrel carburetor with double hump heads – this is identical to the 300 horse 327). Even in this big car, ower is very good
· Very nice seat covers
· Good headliner
· Good dash pad
· Carpet is faded and shows some signs of wear…still not bad
· Paint is showing signs of wear but still very presentable and looks nice
· Paint flaking at the seam joints where quarter panels meet the filler panel between back glass and deck lid
· 99% rust free except where identified in pictures
· Horn works
· Factory AM Radio works – unusual in a 49 year old car
· Dash lights do not work (have not had a chance to check for blown fuse)
· Very nice trunk and floors with spare tire and jack in place.
· Small exhaust leak at left hand exhaust manifold where pipe connects. I believe it needs a new gasket
· Ignition system upgraded to electronic ignition with a GM HEI unit
