Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1956
Great LakesClassic CarsProudly Presents1956 Chevrolet Bel AirNomad 2-Door WagonIn 1956 Chevrolet produced a whopping 1,623,376 Classic Chevy 150s, 10s, nd Bel Airs however it only built 8103 Nomads. It doesn't take a genious to do the math and further expect that how many less were of the solid Onyx Black color and fewer were with the options ofthis particular Nomad.Indeed quite Rare!We have always been a huge fan of the Nomads and get excited everytime we have the priviledge of having one in our collection. This one ranks right up there with an Elvis sighting.Intriguing is the perception of what this vehicle was meant to be and then what it became. Originally meant to be a version of America's Sweetheart 'The Corvette' growing into a cult like favorite among many enthusiasts and serious collectors.Let's face it! There aren't many unicorns left as desirable and honest cars go.This Particular Nomad (no, ot the fabled creature),,, s a prime example of a true collector's Classic Chevrolet.A numbers matching original vehicle that has stood the test of time with poise and pride. The Nomad had only one re-paint back in the late 1970s due to paint fade on the good 'ol candy shelled lacquer. We learned this from the previous owner whom got the information from the original owner before him. There was no evidence of rot or rust and that was certainly not the reason.Take a really good look at the floor boards of this vehicle and notice the 'Red Oxide Primer' also take notice of the bottom of Doors, ood, ailgate, tc...This car is SOLID! We literally got it out of its long term slumber. This Nomad was not seen by everyone like the typical weekend show car that shows up at every event and gets caught in the rain over and over throughout the summer months. No, his baby has been parked for many years away from prying eyes and it has been excellently preserved.Over time there had been a few items replaced like the kick panels were replaced with those newer ones that have the speakers built in.The door panel draw handles were replaced as well as some smallodds and ends here and there. But,,,, e have the original items taken off and they are included with the sale!Other cool features includePower WindowsPower SeatAM/FM/Cass with under seat CD (original radio comes with)Original and optional Chrome Spears on top of fenders as well as the added upper bumper guards that are most often gone by now.Spare tire and tools.Did we say Black on Black?Bottom line, here are no disappointments on this Nomad! It is a strong number 2 to 3 car with hugely increasing upside on collectability.Haggerty as well as other reliable sources and auction results put these vehicles in great company at this level with price ranges climbing well into the upper 5s to mid 6 figures.Thank you for looking at our NomadGood luckandHappy BiddingIf you have any questions about this or any of ourother auctions please feel free to contactus via e-mail sales@glclassiccars.comor you can callus at (800) 510-3797.
