1956 CHEVROLET NOMAD
BARN FIND!
TOTAL RESTORATION PROJECT
ROLLER, O ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION
To say this is a rare car is an understatement. In 1956 Chevrolet built only 8103 Nomad Station Wagons, /font>
compare that to 41,883 Convertibles which are considered rare. When restored these cars easily fetch $75 - $125,000 as you will see on Ebay.
BUT BEFORE YOU CAN RESTORE ONE, OU NEED TO FIND ONE TO RESTORE
56 Chevy Nomad Projects don't come along too often so don't hesitate on this one. If you choose to "Watch" it, ou will Watch someone else buy it LOL!
I am selling because I need the space not the money, o ridiculous offers or Hyundai trades please
This car was in a barn since the 1980's It will need complete restoration but is a great starting point. Study the photos what you see is what you get. Don't not assume it comes with any parts not shown. This car is sold with NO TITLE bill of sale only (was a GA car)Still has its original untouched vin tag no issues.
This car has a California one piece frame that has had disc brakes added up front. In the rear the leaf springs were moved into the frame rails and it has a custom narrowed ford 9 inch with 3:73 gears so it will fit a big tire in the wells or you can return it back to stock if doing a stock resto. It is an old Hot Rod from back in the day.
It must have been a beautiful car when new the original color was Tropical turquoise with turquoise interior
The body needs total resto, uch as front and rear floor pans, nner and outer rockers, nd the tailgate is rotted.
Thefront fenders are fiberglass from when it was a Hot Rod.
There is a ton of the stainless inside the car for both exterior and interior.
I do have both halves of the back seat but no front seat.
Comes with front and rear bumpers even the rear is correct Nomad bumper.
This car was taken off the frame at one time so the frame could be painted. (those are the brackets you see on the rear of the frame they are just bolted on)
It is now just resting on the frame but I have the body strapped to the frame for transport
Be sure to ask any questions BEFORE BIDDING
