Up for sale is a 1989 Chevy Camaro RS.
This is a completely restored/rebuilt car, op to bottom, ront to back.
There are a little over 5000 miles since complete rebuild.
The motor is 3.1 liter six cylinder that was bored out from the stock 2.8, ransmission is 5 speed manual.
Rear differential is from a 1992 Z28, t is a posi rear end with disc brakes.
IrocZ rims has new center caps and is fitted with BFG tires that also only have 5000 miles on.
Exterior is in very good condition, nd the body is straight. This is a completely rust free car.
The new paint is a factory color Dark Blue with painted on black racing stripes, hen clear coated.
Stock steel hood was replaced with a factory Camaro Cross Fire fiberglass hood that reduces the weight significantly.
Underside of car has all been rebuilt, ll suspension parts repainted in chassis black or blue.
Interior is also in very good condition, t has black carpet with black vinyl seats and grey interior panels.
Car's interior was sound and heat insulated with dynamat before re-installing interior.
Car has many new parts and most everything has been rebuilt. Lots of spare parts are included as well including the stock air intake.
Factory options including: a/c, ower windows, ower locks, ruise, ilt and rear window defroster.
The rear window has been professionally tinted.
Included with the car is all new all pioneer sound system.
This includes the deck which is ipod compatible, wo 2x3 fronts, wo 6x9 mids, wo 12inch subs in a fitted sub box and a 2400 watt amp.
There are a few small issues. First the exterior. The paint is cracking in a few places. There are two cracks on the hood of the car towards the front. One is about 3 inches along the other is about 1 inch long. They do not show up in pictures. Also in the hood along the black stripe there are severalhairline cracks that are visible after the paint has been waxed. On the nose where the headlights sit, here is crack in the paint where there is a stress point. On the roof there are four cracks in the black stripe that are about 4 inches long. On the decklid there is a crack in the middle of the black stripe that branches out in three lines about 3 inches for each line. There are also small rock chips here and there on the door and fenders.
Now the motor. The coolant overflow tank is cracked and to seal the system is has been taped closed on the crack. The a/c has been recharged with R134a and holds the charge great, ut when the a/c is turned on the, adiatorfan does not kick on automatically so it does not blow cold air initially. When the radiator fan turns on due to regular engine operation the a/cthen blows very cold air. It may just be a simple relay issue, ut I do not use a/c very often if at all so it has not been something I have really looked into. There is alsoa very small oil leak
The interior. The headliner had been replaced with the aftermarket abs plastic instead of the stock foam material. But the headliner cloth material is sagging. Because it is the aftermarket plastic headliner it should be a very easy fix. The drivers seats has cracks in it that have been sealed with black silicon.
The cruise control option is there, ut does not work. I never use cruise control so it was never a priority to find out what the issue was.
The rear window defroster is all hooked up, ut the car has never been driven in a period where it is needed so it is unknown if works entirely correctly or not.
Overall the Car is in very good condition and is beautiful in person. It receives many compliments and drives very well.
