Description for Chevrolet C-10 1985

up for sale is my Squarebody 1985 GMC Z62 High sierra wideside C1500 pickup truck. this truck is all original matching numbers with everything in perfect working condition. this is a very rare High Sierra Trim which is the equivalent of the Scottsdale. Chevy sold way more scottsdales than GMC sold High Sierras. it has 54,645 actualcar faxcertified miles. mileage might go up slightly since I am driving this truck on the weekends and occasionally to work. this truck was a farm truck all of its life and it was mostly used to go into town on weekends to get supplies hence the very low mileage. it has never towed anything and from the excellent dent free condition that the bed is in, t never hauled anything heavy. the engine is the original 305 5.0 liter V8 with the 700R4 four speed transmission. engine is very healthy! I did a compression test and all cylinders are between 130-140. it has a Rochester Quadra jet 4 barrel carb that was recently rebuilt to be ethanol compliant. it has been professionally tuned and it runs extremely smooth. here in the south Florida heat the car averages 16mpg city and 18 highway which is really good for a carbureted engine of this size. the transmission is the original (factory option as you can see in the option list picture) 3 speed + overdrive and it shifts smooth with no issues whatsoever. the brakes are the optional heavy duty power brakes so it has the big disk in the front and big drum in the rear. this car stops on a dime! this truck has the factory optional heavy duty rear springs and all shocks are in really great shape. car handles perfect! the alignment is on point, t 60mph you can let go of the steering wheel and the car will keep going straight. the car has aftermarket edelbrock cam covers and an edelbrock intake but I have the original cam covers and intake that will come with the car if you want to put those back. the interior is in excellent condition. all original. the only wear shown is on the driver door panel which is a little faded and the dashboard which is starting to crack by the speaker grille. besides that, t is extremely clean and all lights, auges and buttons work including the quartz clock. the radio is the original AM/FM stereo with 4 speakers which are also original. radio sounds really nice and none of the speakers are blown out so no rattles or weird noises coming from the radio.the seat is the original seat and it is in excellent condition besides two small cigarette burns from the original owner. power windows and power locks work fine and "smoker" vent windows open and close perfectly. the rear window has a factory optional tint and has the sliding window which opens and closes perfectly.

as to the outside of the car, t is in excellent shape. it was repainted about 10 years ago with the original GM 66 and 61 two tone paint. as you can see from the pictures the body is straight with no dents or damage. it does have the minor small door ding and scratch here and there but as you can see from the pictures for a 30 year old car the paint and body are in really good shape. the bed was rhino lined and it has a bed mounted spare tire holder. it also has a bed mat. the only bad thing on the exterior is a tiny rust spot that is starting to appear on the rear passenger fender (see pic) but it has been treated to prevent it from spreading.

I personally love this truck and my main reason for selling it is because I am getting married and I could use the money for the wedding and related expenses. but if it wasn't for that I'd keep it as it took me a while to find it and finding one like this is getting harder every day. I am hoping that this truck would go to a nice home. i am selling it as no reserve so highest bidder takes it home. shipping must be arranged by buyer. for questions please call 954-299-2507
