Purchased on 5/25/96 with 19.680 miles on the odometer from two brothers who I have known since the early 70's. It's a base model L48. They had purchased it 6 yrs. earlier with 14K miles. It is #11980 of 53,807 cars built in 1979. They didn't do anything but drive it and not much of that. It is essentially an unmolested car with 36K miles on it. They heard from the previous owners that it had been repainted at some point. The paint is roughly 30 years old and I just had it detailed and it shows well but that is probably the only issue with the car. It has been garaged the entire time I have owned it. Interior is all original and is in excellent condition. The car came originally with the 8 track player.

A previous owner installed a factory cassette AM/FM unit. I have both of those units. I installed a Kenwood CD FM/AM unit. The wheels were polished in July of 1996 and still look unbelievable. Engine is untouched internally and runs like you would expect a car with 36K on it. The carburetor has been rebuilt, ew high torque, igh temp starter and a new water pump. I installed polished aluminum LT1 valve covers a number of years ago. Installed complete Magnaflow exhaust system from the heads all the way to the rear with ceramic coated tuck in headers 2 yrs. ago.

Newrotors were refinished, ew calipers installed and all new brake lines. Shortly after a new radiator and transmission cooler flex hoses were installed.

Every stock part that came with the car new I still have minus the water pump, tarter, adiator and exhaust system. I have a log book documenting everything I have done to the car since I have owned it as well as receipts. It is a fun car to drive and typically turns heads.
