This 1978Caprice was purchased new at Love Chevrolet in West Columbia, .C.By the current owners father. He bought it as a giftfor his wife. It has56,800 original miles.

The current owner is my bother in-law,the car was left to him when his mother died in 2010. This car is about as close to completely original as youwill find anywhere. It spent it's life when not in use parked under a carport. The paint is original except for the drives side rear quarter panel. It was damaged many years ago,when pulling into a bank drive thru. It was scraped down the side. That was repaired by a paint and body shop. Overall it is in daily driver condition.It looks good but would need to be repainted to be perfect. The vinyl roof will need to be replaced.There is an area of rust just under the rear window on the drivers side. That will not be a large repair.

The interior of the car is in very good condition, xcept for the fact that the dash has four cracks (see pics) The seats, arpet, eadliner, un visors etc...are in good to very goodcondition.

The under carriage is very clean, ERO rocker, rame or floor pan rust.

All systems function.

The A/C was recently serviced (134a Freon) it is cooling however the high pressure side reading was to low, o it cools but is not cold enough. It will need attention. The blower motor is a little noisy. Also the windshield washer pump is not working.

Under the hood the 305 engine is smooth and quite. It does not use/burn any oil. Starts easily.The carburetor was rebuilt 3 years ago. It drives down the road very well,and the transmission shifts just as it should.

The tires on the car are only the second set it has ever had. So they will need to be Replaced.

This car is perfect for someone looking for one that is ready to drive and can be restored to any level you desire without a lot of effort.
