Description for Chevrolet Impala 1964

This Chevy ImpalaSSwas originally sold from Stockburger Chevrolet located in Bucks County in the Historic Borough of Newtown, A. Stockburger Chevrolet was a family ownedbusiness for over 50 years. It was located in a community where all the local businesses supported each other. So when this car was originally sold, t was sold to the Fabian family which had a home comfort business located directly down the street from the Stockburger dealership. TheFabian family owned the vehicle first and then it was sold to an employee of theirs. Those two owners collectivelyown this Impala from 1964-1979 and traded the car back in to Stockburger for an upgrade. However, rom that moment until today that Impala remained in the Stockburger family. In fact, twas given to his son when he was in 8th grade. So the son had cherished this car forthe next 36 years. Before he was able to drive it legally hewould clean what he could, ix what he could and paint what he could and it was very easy for him because he had all the parts, OS parts at his finger tips. Evenin shop class he made a 64 SS key chain photographed below. As the years progressed, he car had made over 102k miles of memories, ncluding his high school years. If something needed to be fixed or painted it went right to the Stockburger dealership. There is record of this car being stocked and sold with hand written record keeping in the archived books of Stockburger Chevrolet. The rare dealer promo book and the promotional items as a yard stick all go with the car. Also, efore this car was sold to the Fabian family, /c was dealer installed. I spoke to Mr. Stockburger briefly while photographing this car who recently sold his 1957 Chevy. He said, every car has its time to go and unfortunately its time for the Impala to leave the family so it can be enjoyed by its next one..." How true is that? This Impala is part of the Stockburger legacy and history. What was once a car that was counted as another sale, urned into be part of the family....producing moments to remember measured by the odometer on the dash. Please read on to find out more and please note, here are plenty of pics along with a video at the bottom. Thank you for viewing.

As you can see from the pictures it presents extremely well. The car was maintain through out its life by Stockburger Chevrolet. The paint is beautiful and showing an extremely high luster. It was done years ago. The paint has a chip on the hood and some very minor blemishes but is in excellent condition. It still wears almost all its original chrome and bright work. All the glass is original and in excellent condition. Hishigh school parking sticker is still on the car. The original hubcaps are in the trunk, owever a new set are on the car. All the original lights and marker lights are intact and there are a set of NOS rear lights in the trunk. Tires are fairly new and in excellent condition. The body is straight and has been maintained throughout the years. The floors and frame are solid as is the trunk pan. The trunk pan can use some paint and freshening up. It does have some surface rust. Please view the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.

The interior has also been maintained through the years as well. The seat covers, eadliner and carpet have been replaced. The dash and door panels are original to the car and in excellent condition. This is a numbers matching drive train. The engine is original to the car and has been maintained through out its whole life. Its the 327 V-8. The originalpowerglide transmission is still in the car. All the brakes, hocks, elts and hoses have been maintained its whole life. The car runs and drives great for an original 51 year old car. As stated earlier, ealer installed a/c unit was installed before it ever hit the Newtown roads. As the car was maintained through the years some of that complete set up wound up in the trunk. The dual exhaust sounds very nice and subtle. This Impala SS is ready to drive, nd all it needs is a thorough detail if you want it to show it. Please let us know of any questions you may have.
