Description for Chevrolet Corvair 1963
This is shot in the dark. I was lucky to find another gem and I didn’t do anything to it yet but bleed the brakes so I could stop a little better. What I found is a 1963 corvair convertible with a 140 hp and a 4 speed. I looks as if this is an air condition car but the compressor is missing but have some on air part in trunk. The interior looks very good as if someone had it redone or it was keep very good. The bad someone took the AC center off but it is with the car. The door panels are gone but the rear panel look redone but are off the car and in the trunk. The body had a nice looking but half fast paint job that looks good. It had a bad spot that I tried to show in the pictures. There is little spots if rust under the paint. All or most of the chrome is off the car and I don’t have it. But you could easy buy it at Clark’s corvair. The 140 ph motor starts right up and gets the vair moving under its own power but it runs ruff yet it will idle. She could use the carburetor synchronized or a tune up. This car runs but I wouldn’t drive is long distant at this time without going through it. The driver side muffler could be change but the car isn’t that loud. The 4 speed is a close shift and a little tight but the clutch is ease. Due to brakes I couldn’t drive it faster the 40ph. The lights front and back work. The window all need fuzzy and rubbers but go up and down without a problem. The top open and close with no problem manually. It looks kind of new but has some gray spots on it. But not rips or anything. The gas hand works and I realize that after I ran out of gas but she started right back up after I got some gas back in the tank. We already have two corvair and another two classic cars and no extra place to put then and especially a convertible top. And the wife is already saying where do you expect to put all those cars. So I will sale this one to keep the peace and so this 63 vair could get back on the road. This 63 convertible need a little work to be a good driver. But is a good little car as she is now and she has not leaked any oil at all yet. And I have a low reserve on it.I reserve the right to end this listing early as vehicle is for sale
