Description for Chevrolet C-10 1987
1987 shortbed silverado. This is a very clean local Georgia truck that has been adult owned and carport kept its whole life. It rides good and smooth and runs flawless. It is equipped with the throttle body injected 5. 0 engine with an overdrive transmission. it gets better gas mileage than my new truck does. The engine runs great and has a nice sound due to the dual flowmaster exhaust. it also still has the cat. convertor for you guys that need emissions. The trans shifts smooth and works like it should. It has a brand new battery. fresh tune up. new cap and button. new plugs and wires. it also has had most of the gaskets replaced by my personal mechanic. It has no leaks or drips so no worries parking it in your clean garage. The a/c system was also upgraded to the 134 freon back in the summer and it blows good and cold. The paint is the GM torch red. it has a very nice shine to it. The truck has very nice body lines. no swaying or out of line stuff. This truck has a very nice curb appeal to it and it gets lots of attention. The bumpers are the original ones as well as the grill and headlight trim. All of the exterior trim is in nice shape. the stick on trim is new. The interior of the bed is nice and dent free. however it was not finished in the same brilliant shine as the exterior. My plan was to have a spray in liner but never got around to it. It looks fine like it is. nbsp;it cleans up nice. Underneath the hood is original. it doesn't have any chrome or add ons. The interior is the original buckskin color with the brown dash. I had the seat recovered and the headliner done. the carpet and door panels are the factory ones. The door panels are in nice shape they really didn't need replacing. but it does have some wear on the drivers arm rest. The carpet has a couple of small spots and very minor fade but still looks good. I decided to go with a dash cap instead of a new pad due to the fact that I could not buy the factory correct color in a pad. I have never been a fan of trying to dye a dash pad. so I went the other direction. It looks great. The speedometer and guages function properly and it has an older "knob" type radio. It is equipped with the dual tanks. The selector works but the right tank does need a pump. It has the factory 8 inch rally wheels with the original spare still mounted underneath. The tires are 255/70/15 mastercraft. They have a good many miles left in them but are around 40% tread. This truck is a true southern survivor that has never seen harsh winters or the abuse of being used as a workhorse. It has no rust and has never had rust. It runs and drives great. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It looks good enough to be a weekend cruiser at the local car shows and is dependable enough to make a daily driver. whichever best suits your needs. This truck is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early but if reserve is met IT WILL SELL HERE. I have a very modest reserve set on the truck. nbsp;and a reasonable buy it now.
