If you have been paying attention to first generation chevelle prices. then already know great cars are being snatched up for strong money and big returns. If you are going to build a car that looks aggressive and attracts this much attention. it had better be able to back it up. Fortunately. its a real-deal factory 4-speed SS396. so those looks should serve more as a warning than an invitation. Either way. when this Super Sport is finished its going to have eyeballs all over it wherever it goes! If you have a 396 or even a 540 in your shop this SS will be perfect! Built from the factory in Kansas with F-F paint code ( marina blue) and Trim is 731-B ( medium bright blue with bucket seats! This 1966 underwent a full rotisserie restoration. the body was completely disassembled. the frame removed. a new pass. full quarter was installed. the car retains its rock solid factory wheel houses and inner floor. we did re build the 4-speed shifter hole. I have added a pict. showing the nice original wheel house after the quarter was removed! A new trunk pan. trunk drops and tank braces were added as well as a new tail panel. along with the new Super Sport hood and new hood louvers. The chevelle was spun on the Auto-Twirler rotisserie. nbsp;the floors and engine compartment were sanded. seam sealed. nbsp;primed and blocked sanded then painted gloss black . I have included a couple of pics. after the floors were painted with the car on the rotisserie. the spots in the pics are not in the paint. nbsp;the bottom of the car really shines. I guess the glare was too much for my camera. They look awesome! New brake lines and fuel line were installed. the body was then sat back on the frame that had been sand blasted and painted chassie black. new body bushings were installed. The SS has drum brakes and 10 bolt rear. nbsp;you will need new ft. brake hoses and gas tank. The dash was removed sanded and primed. The trunk was also sanded. primed and seam sealed then black-aqua splatter paint was applied along with 2 coats of clear. We have also rebuilt and inspected all wiring harnesses and installed them. The fuse block to trunk wiring is also included along with the dash cluster. sound deadener was then installed in the interior. The chevelle will need a glass kit. interior kit. bumpers and exterior chrome. motor and trans. Both doors have the window regulators. the quarter windows do not. the original headliner bows are in place. We have also added a correct set of 66 bucket seats with the metal backs. and a 66 back seat ready for your favorite color and material! A lot of the hard work is done. a lot of hours have gone in to the build! Frame off restorations aren't cheap. The Super Sport is not ready for paint it still needs primed and blocked. We have too many projects started and need the room in our shop. as you can see in the pictures the chevelle has been collecting dust in the shop and is ready to be finished!
