Description for Chevrolet Impala 1964

Selling my 1964 Chevy Impala SS. Reason I am selling it is the same reason I purchased it on Sep 13, 013. That reason is I am a In-country Vietnam Vet 7/4/67-7/4/68. After years of many health problems, he VA issued me a letter in June, 012 that stated that they recognized me as a herbicide exposed Vietnam Vet. The reason for this is because, though I had many symptoms, kin problems out of Vietnam, eart attack, ginia, hat it wasn't until Feb 2 2012 that the VA diagonized me with a terminal illness. About a year latter, thought I should have some last fun and one of my favorite car I had was a 1964 Impala SS.I searched around and found one on E-bay. This is the car I am selling. I purchased the car out of Wallingford, entucky. It was advertised as a car completely restored, ody off, ebuilt 283 engine and PG Tranny, ew interior and listed as having PS,PB,AM radio, lectric clock, ew interior and paint 8 years prior and the car needed absolutely nothing. It was even stated that the AC was never recharged since the rebuild. I asked a couple of question, nformed that seller would send all receipts, id not happen, nd I purchased it for $17,000. A average price for that vehicle. Due to delays, ever got to drive it because by time got titled straighted out, t was later part of Nov in Wisconsin. On 1 May, tarted driving it and went through 3 1/2 quarts of oil in 350 miles, he tranny whined along with rear end. So since 1 May, 014, have spent over $14,000 I rebuilding the engine, G transmission correctly, ear end, ll power steering componets, ew AC compressor as the bearing was out of the old one, eplaced lines that leaked, eplaced the POA valve that leaked and etc, tc.I have not even had a chance to enjoy this car as due to my health, e are moving to Florida to make a special adaptive house. Every part on the engine is new or rebuilt, ust replaced the first Rochester Carb that I purchased from Rock Auto, he accelator pumps are bad, nd first rebuilt AC compressor that froze up aling with drier and expansion vavle. Had replaced the condenser before. I have all the receipts for these repairs except for some labor that was discounted due to my working in a auto parts store. The car is a looker, id have it in Florida last winter and when a few times got it to run some what, lots of waves and smilies. The engine has a couple of valves that do not seem to have set yet. The rebuilder of engine I heard later my not have been the best to rebuild an engine. I converted the 283 2 BBL to a 4BBL, ild cam and ported heads. Most of the car is all original. The body is starting to show the years but that is due to who ever in Kentucky redone the body did not due allot of things correctly. It does have a new quarter on left side, ight side has a partial quarter but not the normal one. It has clear coat. I have a technical degree in auto body and years ago did many cars for my self. I am stating all the facts for who ever may want to buy this car. It does drive fantastically as all new components underneath, ew springs, hocks, rakes, rums, all joints and on and on. The frame looks ok but it was painted over. The factory air works great finally and is just starting to drive nice but must sell now. The car also has excellent trim, aybe new as not dents, cratches, umpers like new and from five feet away, ooks awesome and same driving down the road. Have the correct SS 14" hubcaps in very good condition. The car will cruise at 80 very easily. I am happy to answer any questions about the car that I know of. The pictures of car was taken in Florida in Jan. The car still looks the same and if some one wants a picture of something current, -mail me and I will try to take a picture. Sorry, y grammer is not the best anymore either. Thank You
