Description for Chevrolet Impala 1961

Selling my 1961 Chevy Impala Bubbletop 2DR. Red/Red.
It starts right up every time. It has the ORIGINAL 283 engine with the automatic powerglide transmission. Previous owner stated it has 76k original miles. I have some documentation to help support this. Car runs and drives nice. Gets a lot of attention everywhere I go.
Date Code on engine block is E21 which stands for May 2, 961.
The casting # on the intake manifold is 3746826 which was used on 283 engines with a 2 barrel carb from 1956-1963.
It has drum brakes all around. The wheel cylinders and brake shoes are new.
One of the best things about this car is that you can drive it around town and take your time to restore it.The car is complete and all the trim is there. The body is very straight. It has the typical rust. The rocker panels will need to be replaced. The lower portions of the rear quarters and fenders will need metal work. The passenger door will need to be re-skinned or replaced. There's rust outside of the trunk under the rear bumper.
The trunk and floor pans are solid.
The interior looks original but it's worn. Glass is in good shape.
Still has the original spare tire in the trunk. I have the wheel skirts too and they will be included.
Bubbletops are rare and Bubbletops with the original engine are even more rare. This one runs and drives and is reasonably priced.
Title is clean and in my name. Car is currently registered in California. Personalized license plates are not part of the sale.
