Description for Chevrolet 1952
1952 Chevy Deluxe, dr. SDN 350 small block Chevy with automatic 350 turbo transmission. Original front suspension, odified rear suspension. Drum brakes all the way around. Power Steering. This is not a show car. Its a nice cruiser that you can have some fun with around town. There are minor dings and the paint work is not perfect. Satin black and gray paint. There is a scratch in the drivers side door, hat doesn't show in the pictures. I'm selling the vehicle to help finance my new project car. I've owned this for 2 yeas and have done many improvements. There was rust on the car when I bought it. The entire underside has been coated with Eastwood's rubberized rust encapsulation paint. Inner rockers are a little rough, ut the outer rockers are still solid. The Interior is very well done and clean. The drivers side pan was repaired at some point. Windshield has some fog around the edges and some scratches. All the other glass is in good shape. Rear drivers side door needs to be shimmed on the lower hinge. That will suck into the body a little better. You can see the gap in the photos. Battery is mounted in the trunk. E-Brake installed. Valve covers have some black over-spray on them. I was going to have them powder-coated black but never got around to it.Engine runs strong, o issues at all. No leaks, o overheating, o squeals. Starts right up no problem. Transmission shifts with no problems. I have started and run the car weekly and drive it on a regular basis. Mostly just around town, ut I have driven it on a 2 hour trip. I don't know what year the engine is. The block is stamped behind the alternator so it could be looked up. Odometer reads 1,760 but I cant tell you the actual mileage on the engine or transmission.
3" lowering blocks in the rear. I'm not sure what type of rear end is in the car. Its longer than the original rear end. It looks to me like it came from a truck or van. Custom leaf spring plates where fabricated so that the suspension would stay above the wheel line. Sway bars have been installed on the right and left side to keep the pinion angle correct. The rear springs will need replaced at some point. There not to hard to find though. They are 5 leaf at 56" unloaded. They run just over a hundred dollars each. The exhaust had to run under the axle, hich you can see in the photos. They don't hang low at all and I've never had a clearance issue. Suspension straps have also been installed so you can lift the car without removing the exhaust. If you need to change a rear tire you simply unbolt the suspension straps, nd unbolt the exhaust right before the axle, nd unbolt one hanger. The back portion of the exhaust will slide right out.
The bumpers and grill are painted. All other exterior trim has been plasti dipped. If you would like to have the stainless look back on this car all you have to do is peel the plasti dip off. Visor is also plasti dipped. the rear wheels are just spray painted. I was going to have them powder-coated but never got around to it. The front wheels are factory painted, ut I put a coat of spray paint on them to match the rear wheels. I'm running Wheel Vintiques 15x6 on the rear, nd Wheel Vintiques 14x6 on the front.
All gauges and lights work, xcept for the fuel gauge.when I installed the new battery and alternator it quit working. Don't really know why, ut the car still runs fine. Speedometer cable needs adjusted it bounces some.
