1966 Chevy II Super Sport, umbers matching engine (283) 3 speed manual (also factory), ll original with no rust ever! Do damage. Original doors, uarters, loor pans, runk. VIN#118376n122379
The car has been restored but needs a few things to be finished. The engine, ransmission and rear end have been completely rebuilt. Hoses, ome wiring and electrical, uel lines and a few other things need to be hooked up. I believe all of the parts are in the trunk to finish. The old hood was dropped and damaged so we purchased a brand new one. It needs to be painted and installed.
My story...
In December 1979, was a Jr in High School. My dad owned a service station where I worked. One day a guy comes in with this incredible 66 SS. My dad talked the guy into selling it to him as a gift to me. I drove the nova my Jr and Sr years of high school. When I graduated, went into the military and decided to buy a corvette. I sold the car to a good friend who stored it in his garage for almost 30 years. Over the years I tried and tried to get him to sell it back to me. He wouldn't hear of it. 3 years ago, y friend took the car completely apart and starting a restoration. He rebuilt the engine and transmission and replaced numerous parts such as the front end, uel tank, eat covers, oor panels, iring, tc. The dash is actually the factory one and is perfect!
During his restoration, y friend was called into the ministry. I called him out of the blue one day and he said that since he was going into the ministry, hat he would consider selling me back the car. Believe me, t wasn't cheap, ut how often do you get the opportunity to buy back your high school car, specially one that is in incredible condition. I paid him, oaded it up on a rollback and brought it home. Over the last 2 1/2 years I have struggled as to what to do to the car. A couple of days labor and it can be up and running and driving. My problem has been 2 fold! First, he car is factory white. It was white when it came off the assembly line and was white when I drove it in High School. My friend decided when he restored it that he wanted black. Secondly, have struggled with finishing it up and driving it as a factory original. I also would like to strip it back down, aint it white, nstall a LS engine and 6 speed, dd a custom interior and a modern front and rear end. I've gone back and forth for 2 1/2 years and it hasn't been touched. As you can see from my photos, haven't even washed it. I am now a 53 year old man and just bought a new beach house. I know I will regret this, ut since I haven't finished the car I am going to sell it! It is an amazing car.
The car was purchased brand new by Betty Efird in December 1965 from Sutherlin Chevrolet in Pell City, labama. This Nova has never been anywhere but the State of Alabama. It has never had a spec of rust on it! It was amazing when I bought it in 1979 and between myself and my friend, t has been babied and garaged all of those years. I have the original Chevrolet Protect-O-Plate as well as factory brochures and other literature. This is a factory Super Sport with a 3 speed. Yes, ou don't see many 3 speed on the column SS models. It did come with the factory buckets without console. I encourage personal inspection and will be happy to show it to anyone who wants to come look. My friend has the car slick on the bottom just like the top of the car. I am sure it may have a few minor scratches that should buff out and it does have a small ping on the lower drivers door. I think a dent man can pop that one out. At one time, y friend installed a floor shifter but when he decided to restore it, e removed it and went back with the factory column shift. The car is located in Alabaster, labama just south of Birmingham. The car comes with all of the literature that I have and a notorized Alabama Bill of Sale. Alabama does not title cars over 25 years old so there is no title. As far as bidders, just can't put up with any foolishness so no one with less than 5 feedback at 100% positive will be allowed to bid. You can email me if you have less and I can consider. Winning bidder will pay by bank wire transfer or cash when you pick it up. I can hold the car in my garage for a few months for the buyer as long as I am paid in full within 5 business days. Thanks and good luck!

Update from emails and questions!
#1 - I have had at least 25 emails from people with CASH CASH CASH in hand demanding a buy it now price. Not going to happen! This is an auction. I have a lot of money in this car and would prefer to let the highest bidder determine what its worth. Please don't email again with a request for a price to buy it now. I will leave that up to all of the used car dealers on ebay to price their cars.
#2 - Condition. Please read the description. I have already addressed the body condition. No Rust, VER! Original floor pans and truck.
#3 - This is not a cheap paint job and will not have to be repainted unless you want to paint it back the original color. My friend who has owned it for the past 30 years owned a paint and body shop. He restored this car to show. I think it will need some wet sanding and buffing to get minor scratches out from the dust and moving it around the shop for the past few years. As I stated, have not touched it or washed it since I brought it home on a rollback 2 1/2 years ago. You will need to paint the new hood!
#4 - The transmission is installed in the car. I know the clutch pedal is on the floor, ut it probably is not hooked up. Also, e have the original column shifter that is not installed. I think everything is there to put back together.
Thanks again!
