While this Corvette is not completely numbers matching it does feature a 3970010 engine block, hich is correct engine used in 1979 Corvettes. The transmission is original and correct with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and pictured below. The transmission also shows a "9-78" casting date, hich is September of 1978. This would be correct as it predates the car's build date of September 24, 978 (B21). All of the paint and trim codes are also correct for the car.
