Description for Chevrolet C-10 1964
This is a one family owner very origonal 1964 c 10 truck with a 292 inline 6 cylinder granny 4 speed. has some typical rust but all in all better than average condition for the age. Still runs and drives welllights, auges and gadgets work.
So here is the story on my "64". It was bought new in Spokane, a and held by same owner untill early 1990s when it was sold to his brother. At that time it had been used very little and stored under cover. had around 20K miles I was told. I have all the old registrations back to 1964 and some years the tabs were not even installed! So the brother bought it got it running again. Looks like mostly minor stuff I could see and have reciepts for: looks like a new fuel tank brake master cylinder, arb rebuild, ires, rakes etc all done just local guys average repair shop. So the brother used it as adailey driver and fishing truck! had a small aluminum boat in the back. He did vurtually nothing for modifacation but a locking gas cap and just drove it. I got it a couple years ago from the brother. This thing is awesome! never had a radio installed! factory paint everywhere, actory wood still in bed, ll 4 factory wheels and hubcaps, as the deluxe dash that looks new and all works lights, auges, eater, hoke, ipers, ighter, urn signals self cancel even the dome light works! I planned on keeping this longer so I had the motor gone through. I pulled it and a well seasoned machanic went through it for me just to on safe side. new rings bearing kit gaskets etc. stock pistons and honed cyliders. He did grind the valves but said they where all factory never apart and in incedable shape. in fact He is over 60 years old and life long machanic. His opinion was that he would lean more toward the truck having 11K miles rather than the 111K miles that I assumed. (floor by gas pedal has pretty good wear mark. more than 11K I would say) anyway just a very nice step back in time truck. as far as the rust goes the front fenders have some rust as you can see. The kick panel at the floor on passenger side has a small hole but pretty solid. cab supports are all good, bove w/s is solid, ood looksincedable, see nothing rust wise on the bed or tailgate. I do not know how else to say it. Just 52 yrs of unmolested coolness! The only thing in the hole truck that does not work is the squirters on the w/s wipers. pretty sure it had them but washer container is gone. ask any question thanks for looking
