Description for Chevrolet Other 1925
A True American Classic 1925 Chevy 2 door coupe. This car is all original including the almost still perfect top. No restorations ever. I was told the only modification is an electric fuel pump that was added for efficiency (the original pump is still intact; it is just bypassed). This car has some history and spent the majority of her life in a museum right across the street from Harrah's Hotel and Casino in Reno, evada. It was purchased a few years back from the widow of original owner who was going to completely restore and unfortunately passed away before he was able to start. The gentleman that I purchased car from re-wired it and replaced the wood flooring and trunk wood. The wiring is simple and mostly done. Other than a new battery, ew tubes tires and the electric fuel pump, he car is all original. All of the wood is in near perfect condition, ll of the glass is good and windows operable. I don't believe the car is missing anything. The paint is all original and pretty much rust free, he rust that can be seen in pictures is very minor just a light surface rust, here is no cancer or holes or rot or bondo anywhere. The underside is very nice and clean, gain no cancer; a very solid steel car. It does have a couple of minor oil leaks but then I probably would have a few leaks myself if I made to be 91. The hoses were also replaced. I have had a few questions in regards to the engine on this as far as it's originality and the engine numbers match the vin numbers. (the question's were in reference to motor possibly coming out of a 28 chev) I was not around back then so I honestly don't know what they looked like, ut the engine block numbers are same as vin so it must be the original engine.
In my opinion this car does not need to be restored and should either go back into a museum or be put into the middle of someone's Business showroom floor as a mascot. And if someone did want fully restore it would not take a lot to do, on't have to tear completely down all the wood is perfect not rotted. Interior would be very easy to put in. This would make a very nice rolling project.
Car is currently titled in California but was originally and most of it's life was a Nevada vehicle. It is titled only which means no registration fees until you are ready to put it back on road, o non-op fees or back fees are owed if you are in California and if you are going to register in California I just found out that you can order your own number with old style plate through Cal DMV. (thought that was kind of cool) Plates on car are not matching nor original.
Buy it now at my asking price of $24.000.00 I will personally deliver this car anywhere in the state of California for free Oregon, evada and Arizona as well. Who knows we might even become besr of friends.
Thank you for stopping by and Happy Bidding. Car is being sold as is with no warranty

Here is some more information on this car which I copied and Pasted from How Stuff works
The 1925 Chevrolet Series K Superior was a much-improved new model for Chevy, hich it needed after making do with a little-changed model in 1924 Series F Superior.
Still on a 103-inch wheelbase, he 1925 Chevrolet Series K carried an nicely modified version of Chevy's familiar 171-cubic-inch four-cylinder engine. It developed 26 horsepower, and a single dry plate clutch replaced the obsolete cone clutch. Chevy engineers also replaced the car's quarter-elliptic rear springs with modern semi-elliptic units. Chevrolet axles had always been notoriously weak, nd customers knew it. So a new semi-floating rear axle with one-piece "banjo" casing was installed. It was borrowed from the abandoned Copper-Cooled model. Brakes were new 11-inch-diameter pieces, ut still operated only on the rear wheels.
Finished with Duco paint in different colors depending on model, Series K bodies were a little roomier than those of the Series F. Five body styles went on sale: roadster, ouring, oupe, oach, nd sedan.
The Series K Superior touring car cost $525, ersus a mere $290 for a Ford Model T.
To counter that difference, hevrolet promoted the idea that its cars really were "Superior," well worth the extra dollars. Touring cars and roadsters wore wood-spoke wheels. Coupes and sedans got steel-disc wheels with 29x4.40 balloon tires, or a lower look.
With the introduction of the Superior, ales rose nearly 70 percent. Chevrolet now sat firmly in the number two spot in U.S. auto sales, behind Ford and ahead of Hudson.
