Here's the scoop on this vette: My buddy does cable tv for a living he is an installer, e was up on a pole and looked across a cpl yards and seen just the nose of this awesome convertible..wasn't sure what the deal behind it was, o he went over to the house knocked on the door an old lady of 80+ answered the door, e asked about "the car" out back in the barn, ady said her late husband bought it new and passed several yrs ago and she didn't know much about it. but doesn't want to sell it, e said OK and left. He calls me pronto on the cell, ells me the location and all the info he gathered on it knowing how much I love these cars, ow thats what ya call a real friend..
So a cpl days pass I go to her house to inquire about it, ame thing door slams shut, ts not for sale.! Another week passes and I go back, have got to own this car. I asked her if I could just go look at it? reluctantly she agreed to let me go out back and see it. The corvette was a scary mess and made me want it even more. flat tires dull paint 4 inches of crud and dust.The car was talking to me" please take me home bring me back to life. I begged her to let me restore this car in honer of her late husband. I told her soon there wont be a chance its just rotting away out there in the barn. Well we sat on her front porch talking about her late husband and his days in the army and how much he loved this car, e talked for what seemed hrs over coffee.Would you believe at the end of our conversations she said to me..what would you be willing to pay for such a car as this one..I knew then I was getting somewhere..I told her I didn't really know what it was worth,but I also knew I better get while the getting's good. I offered her 6800.00 she said well that'll be fine. I about choked not knowing what I was about to get into, ut I thought one owner and how cool it looked, oney became nothing. my vision was fixed on saving this corvette.
Well a day or 2 later we met up to have the car towed out of its location..Then she says she had lost the title or couldn't find it..She told me that she would apply for a new or lost one..she needed some time..oh great I thought she doesn't want to sell it..well about a week or 2 had passed the phone rings its her grandson telling me she has the new title and keys plus the alarm remotes. Game on lets go save this bad boy,

what it needs:
The Corvette does run and drive although still needs fuel filter replaced I have a new one. I did replace the fuel pump in the tank,also needs passenger rear U-Joints installed I have the new ones, /font>power antenna doesn't always want to go up or down.power door locks,passenger window is finicky has a bad switch. I have a brand new in the box oem convertible factory top its black just needs to be installe, have done nothing but pour money & love into the car here's your chance to own a rare c4 for pennies on the dollar.time for the new owner to finish it up..it honestly doesn't need much to be a super nice convertible c4 corvette. I have everything that goes with the car. comes with a corvette car cover also..
I have over 10k getting this corvette to its current condition, ith brand new everything.without question this C4 Corvette will bring many years of enjoyment to its new owner. after all its a convertible corvette whats not to love about it..This corvette is stunning as it sits. Everytime I take it out I'm approached with people telling me how awesome the car is.
Also after doing some internet research and vin coding,turns out this is a very low production number Corvette, ess than 100 had this color and rare leather and cloth dual power seats.This is a 2 owner adult owned vehicle. it has the special handling package with the 3.73 Axel Ratio Posi Traction rear with factory aluminum Wheels, his car need's very little attention to be a nice show car.It does draw tons of attention as it sits.The car is owned by a true corvette enthusiast. I'm not a kid I'm in my mid 50's live in an upscale community,I'm also a private owner not a dealer. No snow no rain ever..This is a true garage kept fair weather corvette only..
In short you would be very hard pressed to find a 1989 corvette in this good of condition..
