1976 Chevrolet Caprice Classic

Originally a South Dakota car, drove it to Wisconsin in 2013 where it has sat in my garage until now. I had the intent of doing a frame off restoration but I just purchased a 1974 Chevy Caprice Wagon that I am going to restore instead.

It has 88xxx original miles, BC 400 motor and Turbo 400 transmission. The motor runs strong and smooth with no issues. The transmission shifts perfect in all gears.

All of the lights work, adio works and cruise control works. It does have factory A/C but it will need to be recharged.

The interior is near perfect, would rate it a 9.5/10. It has no holes/rips or tears in the seats, he headliner is perfect, he dash is perfect. The carpet is very nice.

The exterior is very nice, ll body lines are straight, he doors open and close as they should. The paint is a faded but a good waxing would shine it up. The body is about 95% rust free. It does have some rust in the rear quarter panel fender lips, ome rust in the lower drivers side fender and the rear fender by the tail light has a dent, long with the tail light lens and chrome being broke. (see pics for all rust and dents/damage.

The trunk is 100% solid.

The undercarriage is rust free. No rust or flaking on the frame.

I would rate the exterior/body at 7.5/10

The vinyl top is in excellent condition.

Tires are road worthy, bout 70% tread remaining.

A couple other things just so there are no surprises: It will need new rear shocks and the valve cover gaskets leak a little oil. The windshield does have a small chip in it.

Overall this car is in excellent condition for its ageand I would not hesitate to get in it and travel cross country!
