Description for Chevrolet Nomad 1956

Legends are cars that everyone can agree are cool, nd this 1956 Chevrolet Nomad wagon definitely qualifies. While all wagons are suddenly popular, he Nomad has been a cornerstone of cool since the day it rolled off the assembly line. Today, inding an unmolested, nmodified one is not only challenging, ut also expensive. This might be your last chance to get a stock one at a price you can afford. If you want to enjoy a Nomad the way its designers intended, his is the right choice. It was restored some time ago, o it's no longer perfect, nd has that soft shine that always looks right on cars of the '50s. It's perfect imperfection means that rain, ugs, nd other realities of driving your car won't stress you out, et as a Nomad, t has all the charisma Chevy could cram onto four wheels. It's wearing correct India Ivory over Twilight Turquoise paint, hich is picture-perfect for the time it was built, nd the 1956 is arguably the cleanest of the Tri-Five Chevy designs. The good news is that the chrome and stainless trim is excellent throughout; someone must have spent a fortune restoring it. The side trim lines up neatly, he bumpers are blindingly bright, nd the unobtainable rear windows are in great shape. Details like the 1956 taillights look like modern custom pieces, ut nope, hat's how they came from the factory (well, xcept for the blue dots) and the stainless ribs on the tailgate are a beautiful bit of functionality. There's an equally attractive interior waiting for you, ith turquoise and tan seat covers, leated door panels, nd a lot of color-matched components that make it look very complete. The seat covers are a few years old and show some light stretching, ut no injuries or ripped seams and the carpets are protected by color-matched rubber mats, o they're very nice indeed. The beautifully restored steering wheel frames original gauges and everything's working, ncluding the original AM radio. Seat belts have been added for safe cruising and they, oo, ere color-matched to the bodywork to help them blend in. The back seat hasn't seen much use but is just as comfortable as the front, nd the cargo bay is finished the way the factory did it. It looks like it's been used as intended, ently of course, nd that means you shouldn't hesitate to enjoy this wagon with your family or for a quick trip to the hardware store. The engine bay is beautifully detailed and the 283 cubic inch V8 runs superbly. It looks to have been recently freshened, ut still retains all its original components, ncluding that big air cleaner, enerator, nd Chevrolet-script valve covers that are just gorgeous. Little stuff like the hoses and clamps, he master cylinder, nd even the exhaust manifolds are pretty much the way they were when it left the factory, nd the smooth sound of V8 torque makes this car a genuine pleasure to drive. The 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission shifts crisply and the suspension is sturdy without a rough ride. Dual exhaust gives it a bit of a V8 burble that's very welcome, nd those 6.70-15 wide whites look spectacular with stock hubcaps on color-matched wheels. You want a Nomad you can actually use? A car with no immediate needs and some financial upside with just a little elbow grease? Something that will always be in demand? This Nomad is the right choice. Call today!
