Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1967
1967 Camaro RS Z28. This is a real deal, ocumented in person by Jerry MacNeish 67 RS Z28 with factory applied, ever removed trim tag. Date correct but NOT matching numbers block. This is a worthwhile, ighly desirable car. Jerry appraised restored value to be as much as 180k. I am thinning down my collection by selling a few of my project cars. I feel that I'm within reason to state that this car is 1 of 1 because it is the ONLY marina blue with white deluxe interior 67 z found per Jerry. Usually 1 of 1 applies to ugly, unwanted color combinations. Marina blue, hite z stripes and white deluxe interior on a rs z will make for a very pretty car. The last I was told, here have only been approximately 225 67 z28s found in total. This was a very early car in the registry, umber 98. Car is a rally sport, owl plenum car with no gauges and no console. Very rare 3.31 posi, erry said possibly ordered as a road race car. Obviously was some sort of race car at some point in its life. The car was sold new at JR Rode Inc Newton, J per ncrs report. This dealership is still open. I purchased the car 15 minutes away from where it was sold new. The gentleman I purchased it from had it about 25 years. He disassembled it and began replacing sheet metal. He installed a new trunk, ew inner and outer wheel houses, ew frame rails, 2 piece floor (I was going to remove and replace with a 1 pc.), ew rockers, ew dash panel, ew tail panel (incorrect non rs), oth full quarters (need leaded at tops), nd a new panel at the bottom of the rear window(needs finished in). New door shells and core support included. Some of this metal had flash rusted due to lack of primer. Nothing that I think would need replacement again, ut use your own judgement. I sandblasted and painted the sub frame and loose fitted two new fenders on it. The previous owner also had the original 3.31 rear rebuild. This is all that has been done. Keep in mind, his car needs and deserves a complete restoration. The car does roll and steer. The fenders, ood, tc are just quick fitted on to allow for easier transport. This will need taken back apart, nd again, ill need a total restoration. All parts should fit inside the car for shipping.UPDATE: PLEASE READ! It is come to my attention that the block I have for this car IS NOT the original block the car was born with. I bought the block under the assumption that it was, ut it most certainly is not. Therefore Im selling as date correct, ut NOT numbers matching block. The first listing I had a ton of interest and over 300 people watching the car but it did not make reserve. Alot of people were holding out bidding just to call after the sale in hopes of getting a bargin. Because of this, nd the fact I dont think Ill get it built anytime soon Im listing WITHOUT RESERVE. Because of the high demand and extremely low supply of 67 z28s, believe the car will do the numbers. Where do you find another?? These cars rarely come available in project form. Inspections are welcome during the course of the sale ONLY. NO TRADES. I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION EARLY. Bid with confidence, he auction will run till the end. Buy as a car needing a COMPLETE RESTORATION. If you use some of the new metal then consider it coming out ahead. I would rather the buyer get more than they expected. I can be contacted at 3176676240. Ill be happy to discuss the car with all serious bidders. Let the bidding begin!!

*** It was never my plan to sell the car. I've always wanted a 67 rs Z and I didn't want the gold, hite or red standard Zs that occasionally pop up for sale. I like have different color combinations. I had a personal builder that worked on my car for years. I do not have the talent myself, nd I liked having a guy work for me so I knew I could oversee my cars and that he was working on my cars only. Not 10 other projects at the same time. He had a series of heart attacks two years agoand had to retire. In the background of one of thepics, here is a 69 pacer that he started to tear apart and has sat since. He never got to touch this car. It was my plan to have Jerry document as found and then again when completed. This is one of those cars that you sell and know you'll never have another one like it again.
