Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1967
Let me start off with telling you a little history about my extremely nice 1967 Chevelle SS 396. The car was first purchased at Central Chevrolet in Fremont, A by a mother and her two very influential sons. The two boys convinced the mother to order the car with many great options since they knew they'd someday talk her into passing it onto them. Some of the options included with the car are the:396 ci 350hp SS package (True 118 Vin),Bench SeatMuncie 4 Speed12 Bolt Posi Rear EndPower SteeringPower BrakesTinted GlassStock Dog Dish Wheels with Hubcaps and Redline Tiresand moreSo in 1971 the Chevelle was passed down/sold to one the mothers sons who then drove it for most of its life, ence the blue license plates it acquired in 1971.It spent most of its life in Fremont CA until early 2000's when it moved up here to Sonora, A, hich is about 135 miles from its original home. The son sold it to a good friend of mine here in sonora where he planned on creating a solid street machine pro touring car, ut when he looked at all the numbers on the engine block and entire drive train he couldn't bring himself to do anything but a frame off, ut and bolt, umbers matching restoration on the car. He really put his entire reputation and skill into this build. He is a professional mechanic and very honest person with a really great reputation in this small town. While moving forward with the build he knew he couldn't use aftermarket overseas parts for his project so he searched out NOS Parts for the entire build except for the hood which fits perfectly anyway. Even the T3 Headlights are NOS and work great. He completely stripped down the car and had the body work professionally done and flawlessly painted the Original Granada Gold. Also he had the engine and drivetrain completely rebuilt. So within ten minutes of hearing he was building this car I was down at his shop drooling over the beautiful sleek lines. I knew I'd have to own this car. So after checking in every once in a while and watching a very long 3 Year build, got a phone call telling me he knew how much I loved the car and that he wanted to sell me this car. So the rest is History.I have owned this car for 4 1/2 years, 've never once driven it in the rain. It's been covered and garaged every day since it rolled out of the restoration shop. I've driven the car roughly 1800 miles since the complete rebuild and always Trailer it to any car show its been in. Yes its a trailer queen to me.I have shown it in a few California Prestigious Car shows. After winning the National Good Guys "Muscle Car of The Year" (1 of 15 Cars) It was picked to be in the Carmel, A Concours d'Elegance, did not win in its class but it won an honor to be picked for the show. Also I was invited two years in a row to the Ironstone Concours d'Elegance and won an award of merit ribbon both times. Its also won the McGuire's MasterPiece Award plus many others. This is a beautiful show car and always attracts positive attention. The Chevelle has all of its original Smog Equipment from the factory to maintain its originality. Also has the original Gauges, lock, nd Radio, hich everything works properly. Please refer to the pictures. The wheels that are on the car and in the pictures are new, he car runs and drives like a dream, t's incredibly fun to take for a cruz. I also have the Original Stamped wheels and new bias ply redline tires that will come with the car.If you want to own a beautiful and reliable piece of history please feel free to Bid.I welcome anyone that wants to come visit and see the car in person. I'll take you for a test drive. I am the local barber for many many years here in Twain Harte, A (near Sonora). I'm the perfect example of a car nut who loves classics and only top quality cars.
