Description for Chevrolet C-10 1964

1964 CHEVROLET C20 -- 60,500 ORIGINAL MILES!
Fly in and drive it home! Ultra-reliable daily-driver and very straight 3/4 ton 1964 Chevy C-20 (yes, hat's the actual truck you're bidding on pulling the '53 comet trailer in the video above) with the 283 V8 plus 4 speed Muncie SM420. Bought from the granddaughter of the original owner with only 60,500 miles from new. The truck wore a camper until just recently, nd was used for family camping trips. Runs smooth (no smoking, o drips of any kind, nd no strange noises), rives great, nd stops straight. Original wood in the bed!

I'll do my best to describe it in every detail, ut don't hesitate to give me a call if you have questions or picture/video requests: (512) 653-0773

Mechanical The engine, ransmission, nd driveline components are in excellent shape -- everything you'd expect from a low mileage truck. The truck does not leave any drips behind (no matter how long it sits), nd the engine is smooth through the RPM range, tarts quick whether it's cold or hot, nd does not smoke. Clutch engagement is smooth in all gears and the brakes are firm and stop the car straight. The truck is running the original split rims which were inspected and mounted by Youngblood Tire here in Austin. Here's a list of what's been done in the last 1000 miles:

  • Tires, ubes, nd flaps (8 ply bias)
  • Exhaust system from manifolds back (true duals with Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flows from Muffin Muffler)
  • Points, ondenser, ap, otor, park plugs
  • Fuel pump
  • New Carter WGD carburetor (NOS)
  • Oil + filter cartridge
  • Trans and differential fluid
  • Brake wheel cylinders + master cylinder
  • Recored radiator + thermostat (180 degree)
  • Belt and hoses
  • Headlights, aillights, ash lights
  • Heater blower motor
  • Choke cable
Body Doors, ood and tailgate fit as they should with no sag or alignment issues. Windows go up and down as they should and there are no leaks! The paint is in decent shape for its age, ut does have some of the typical rust issues of this era GM truck (both rockers are rusty below the door, nd the front hood apron has rust-out). Glass is good with the exception of a crack on the passenger side of the windshield.

Interior/Electrical The interior is all original and does have some wear on the bottom of the bench seat (various rips and tears). Bench seat back is in good shape with no tears. Metal doors panels, ash, nd headliner are all in good shape with a nice patina. All electrical accessories function as they should (gauges, ipers, orn, nd heater all work well). The speaker needs to be replaced, ut the radio works.

That's that -- it's just a very well maintained, ice 3/4 ton Chevy.
