Desirable five window model Custom Green with White Paint Scheme 235ci Inline 6 cylinder engine 3-speed manual transmission Custom Oak Wood Bed floor Custom Green with White Paint SchemeMotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1955 Chevrolet 5 window pickup truck. This is the true classic Bowtie enthusiast's truck! Finished in a dramatic deep rich Green with contrasting white top paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and compliment the body.
Chevrolet's first major redesign post-World War II, he Advance-Design series was billed as a bigger, tronger, nd sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK series . First available on Saturday June 28, 947, hese trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 955, hen the Task Force Series trucks replaced the aging Advance-Design model.
The same basic design family was used for all of its trucks including the Suburban, panel trucks, anopy express and cab overs . The cab overs used the same basic cab configuration and similar grille but used a shorter and taller hood and different fenders. The unique Cab Over fenders and hood required a custom cowl area which makes the Cab Over Engine cabs and normal truck cabs incompatible with one another while all truck cabs of all weights interchange. From 1947 until 1955, hevrolet trucks were number one in sales in the United States, ith re-branded versions sold at GMC locations.
Inside, he green vinyl front bench seat looks great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels and dashboard are painted to match the exterior of the truck and look fantastic. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find.
This nicely represented example features a 235 cid inline 6 cylinder engine, -speed on the column manual transmission, argo bed rails, ak wood bed and original owners manual. This rare mid -fifties model that will delight even the most discerning early American truck collector or enthusiast.
These Chevy trucks are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well kept condition. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 29,257, t is sold as is and is mileage exempt. The truck is being sold on a clean & clear title.
