Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1994
I am losing storage space in a few months and must sell some of my unique vehicles. All cars are garaged, overed, nd stay on a trickle charger. I have had this Camaroless than a year, and my initial research leads me to believe it is a one-of-a-kind car. It was sold new at the Dale Earnhardt dealership in Newton, C and was ordered with nearly every option available. The driver's side door and owner's manual are both signed by Earnhardt, nd have been certified by PSA/DNA (check their pedigree out if youaren't familiar withtheir work). Documentation is included with the sale. I have included in my pictures an undated newspaper article that mentions this car as being built by the dealership to celebrate Earnhardt's potential 6th Winston Cup Championship, hich he won that year.
During the mid '80's, G Motorsports in Texas was a family owned business that installed/sold ground works and performance parts, nd this car has their graphics. The company isstill in business today, ut the family sold out several years ago.LG Motorsports parts were used to build the six documented factory issued 1994 Dale Earnhardt Championship cars that were all black with 6 speed transmissions. One sold at a Barrett Jackson auction last year for over $30K. This "RZ28"has special front and rear spoilers, ide panels unlike factory editions, stinger" hood scoop, ood lock pins, ld style headers, shock tower brace, everal chromed engine bay parts, river's side racing harness, roll bar with forward facing tachometer, arbon fiber interior trim, dditional gauges, security system, lectronic ignition, lack and white victory inserts on all seats, ale Earnhardt and LT1 Decals, he #3 on both sides, nd the exterior side valance panels have listed all six years that Earnhardt won the Winston Cup. These graphics are painted, ot decals. The detailed work had to have cost somebody a lot of money to make this car look so unique. I contacted the Earnhardt dealership, ut was told by the sales manager their records only went back seven years and he could not validate if all this work was done there in 1994.
The car was appraised by Volo Auto Museum in 2007 at $30,000. Volo has been in business since the 1960's, nd I have that appraisal showing the car had 8,500 miles on 11-4-2007. Since that time, he car has basically been kept in a series of dealer owned "museum's", ntil it was purchased early this year with 8900 miles by an individual who soon after needed money more than he needed the car. When I got the car, t was apparent it had been stored inside for many years, ndhas a near perfect, ent free body with a deep shine to the bright pearl white paint. It looks like a car with 9000 miles. Mechanically, t was in need of some love due to the many years oflittle driving. I have spent almost $5000 getting the car back to where she needed to be. The fuel pump and sending unit were replaced. The car received a complete tune up, ncluding factory original plugs and wires, distributer cap and rotor (mega bucks to do on these cars), ater pump, hermostat, C system gone through (blows very cold), elco battery, nd all fluids replaced. The engine bay was cleaned up, ut nothing was changed or painted. Correct factory wheels were newly chromed and new BF Goodrich 245/50ZR16 performance tires were mounted. All options work correctly, nd she now runs like she should. The motor pulls hard to redline in every gear, nd handling is much improved over similar stock Z28's I have driven. The exhaust systemappears all factory except for the headers, nd has a powerful but mellow sound that doesn't intrude on the cockpit experience.I would think she could be driven anywhere without a problem. I have driven the car less than 200 miles since all this work was completed. There are no fluid leaks.
I took her to a car show at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, here she won first place in her class. As a result, got to take her for a [slow] lap around the track, o I can proudly say this car has really gone "racing". If anybody reading this ad remembers the car, 'd love to hear from you. I feel like I'm one step away from knowing if this is THE CAR. I have tried to be very detailed in my description, nd have provided many photo's. My eBay history is perfect, nd I stand behind everything I have stated here. I will not discuss reserve, hich has been set very low to make sure she sells. Whoever wins this auctionis going tobeMORE than happy with the car. I am about 45 minutes South of the Atlanta airport, f the buyer wants to fly in and drive home. I will also be happy to assist with shipping the car. I'm retired and flexible on availability. Please don't waste my time by bidding if you don't have the funds available, nd the car doesn't leave storage before my bank says the check has cleared. Wiring funds would be preferred. Thanks for taking the time to read all this, nd good luck to all.
