Description:This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa is a fantastic looking car with performance and handling to match. The Corvair second generation arrived for model year 1965, oted for its lack of a "B"pillar and a new fully independent suspension replacing the original swing axle rear suspension. The Corvair used coil springs at each wheel. The Corsa came standard with an instrument panel featuring a 140mph speedometer with resettable trip odometer, 6,000rpm tachometer, ylinder head temperature gauge, nalog clock with a sweeping second hand, manifold vacuum/pressure gauge and fuel gauge. A much better heater system, arger brakes borrowed from the Chevelle, stronger differential ring gear, Delcotron alternator (replacing the generator), nd significant chassis refinements were made.
Interior: The interior is all black with new carpet and custom seats with yellow striping. All of the gauges and lights are in proper working order and everything from the dashboard to the headliner is in excellent condition.
Exterior: The body on the Corvair is in excellent condition and has custom pin striping throughout to add that unique touch. The rear-engine design offered packaging and economy advantages, roviding the car with a lower silhouette, lat passenger compartment floor, emoving the need for power assists, nd offered improvements in ride quality, raction, nd braking balance. The design also attracted customers of other makes, rimarily imports. The Corvair stood out, ith engineering significantly different from other American offerings.
Drivetrain:The Corvair Corsa is powered by a 180 HP turbocharged flat six that is paired to a 4-speed transmission. It has a new clutch, ew tires, ecent front and rear end alignments, nd the suspension and brakes have been gone through completely. It runs and drives phenomenally and needs nothing.
